@Namya86 - That point on the luggage pack really does annoy me. I spent quite a while with an Audi salesperson, going through the options and at no point was that mentioned. Now, you could say I should have done my research on every available option, but if that’s the case, the salespeople can wave goodbye to their jobs! @Magnet - I used to have that approach to new cars, but our A6 is now our workhorse. All-weather mats, dog bed in the back, winter tyres on currently and caked in mud most weekends!

It's a shame, right. I definitely don't want to sound all doom and gloom, the car is incredible but I wish things weren't going this way for Audi. My parents were recently looking at a Q5 but after lots of research, they have gone for the new Hyundai Santa Fe. That just wouldn't have been a thing going back a few years. Thanks @Steve Q for the advice on going to eBay. I'll have a look.

I have had my A6 Avant for 4 months, this weekend marked the first time we had people in the rear seats for a long journey. Imagine the shock when they pull down the centre armrest, only to discover a plastic cover in place of where the cupholders should be. As much as I love this car, what were Audi thinking?! When the other VAG brands are thinking logically with comfort and convenience features on their cars (especially Skoda), I cannot understand why they would make decisions like this. Anyway, some advice please... has anyone any experience with retrofitting rear cupholders?

Interesting, Steve. Thank you for this. I have been doing a bit of research this evening. I checked another speaker in the A6, one constant on the labelling (along with the Audi logo) is the brand name “PSS”. If I were to give them the benefit of the doubt, you could say this stands for “Premium Sound System” [from B&O]. However, like you have shown in those photos, older Audi B&O systems had the B&O logo on them. A quick Google of “Audi PSS” brought me to this page: https://www.premiumsoundsolutions.com/business-line/automotive/ Along with that, I checked the B&O site with information on the Audi systems: https://corporate.bang-olufsen.com/en/partners/automotive/audi/a6 The B&O website makes no reference to them providing the hardware at all. It’s all about the 3D sound, VNC (Vehicle Noise Compensation) and positioning of the speakers. I would appreciate some clarification from Audi on this, so will be sending this detail and asking whether this assumption is right. It’s that, or don’t have the B&O system in my car and a retrofit will be in order (at their expense).

In the interest of sharing lead times so people have a record of how long they have taken. I took delivery of my A6 Avant 45TFSI in early October 2024. My order date was 4th September 2023. One caveat, the car was “ready” for delivery in early September but the delivery company caused a lot of hassle. Great car. Have loved driving it, albeit it has been back to Audi a couple of times.

I took delivery of a new A6 Avant C8(.5?) in October 2024 - wanted to nab one before they disappear for good soon. I have two questions relating to the Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System (16 speaker version that comes with the Tech Pack). Other than the speaker grills, is there a way to check the speakers are - in fact - B&O? I ask because the subwoofer in the boot looks remarkably similar (almost identical) to a Audi Sound System subwoofer from a previous Audi. This is the 'spare wheel' style of subwoofer and has no labelling / branding, other than an Audi sticker. Additional note - My A6 came lacking any bass whatsoever. After a few trips, I checked the subwoofer in the boot and it wasn't connected! What have people found to be the best EQ settings for this system? Does it take some bedding in?

Long time Audi owner here with a new A3 on route for the better half (although long lead time, early-June estimated). We've gone for the 1.5 TFSI S Line S-Tronic but even the dealer doesn't seem to know whether or not a June delivery car is going to have the MHEV system. I've read stories of Q3 orders going in and being delivered with the 48v system in place, without the owners knowing beforehand or showing on the order form. It's not a game-changer either way but looking to see if anyone knows if we're likely to get it or not? Cheers
