  10. no problem,i know on the a6 of the same year its fairly straightforward, you need to remove the plastic strip that runs back from the door handle, theres 3 bolts there and then theres 2more down onthe panel where the switch is for the elec window. maybe google it and itll show you clearly.Greg
  11. hi richard,i think the history for cam belt change and service history will be online if its been done by audi or a reputable independant garage.Greg
  12. hi imran,id be removing the door car and check is there something loose or if someone previously changed the window reg they may not have put it back properly or maybe left a nut or washer in the door panel.Greg
  13. i agree kev, theyre very overpriced, the only consolation here in eire is theres no import duty.Greg
  14. i checked mine, theres rubber fitted on the top and bottom but the the sides have none,it sits onto the rubber seal thats around the boot,i hope this helps.Greg

  20. just an update on the issue with the headlight, after 3 weeks of trying various things i gave the car to an auto electrician who said the unit was not repairable so i bought a new headlight from motorfactors who i always use,it cost me 730 euro.audi wanted 1450 for same unit!! anyway ive it fitted now so all good again. by the way, these are very hard to get in breakers here in eire and i tried a few in the uk too but appearantly this is a fairly common problem on the A5.Greg
  21. hi jeremy,i would definitely get a second opinion from a local independant garage as audi are well known for diagnosing the very worst scenario .greg
  22. its definitely worth a try! thanks again
