  3. latest update on my wet floor,after a very wet few days here in ireland my floor on the ds had a pool of water again so my son and i gave the whole back area a thorough soaking and its completely dry,so we started around the windscreen area and we found water pouring in through a tiny gap.so i now think ive finally solved it.ive included pics[will tidy up and paint area when dry]for anyone whos experiencing similar nightmares.greg
  4. ive used them before for my tt clocks and found them good so ill give them a call tomorrow,cheers steve.
  5. hi steve thanks for the reply,i went looking at the blower motor and the 10 amp fuse was blown so the heaters are working on all settings now,the speedo is coming and going and when i push a certain part of the clocks it seems to work,i took out the clocks and cleaned all the connectors but its still intermittent,its been like this a while but it seems to be getting worse.greg
  6. hello folks,my heaters on my 95 coupe only work on full speed,i suspect its the resistor,anyone know where this is located?also my speedo is on the blink and diagnostics says vehicle speed sensor,is this the sensor on the gearbox? any advice appreciated thanks.greg

  8. we fitted a set of coilovers to my sons mk4 golf lately and hes happy with them as they can be adjusted up and down.i find they make the car very hard on the road but he loves it! greg
  9. thats good news on the rack finally,best of luck with the heater matrix,im told its not too hard a job compared to a mark 1 TT!
  10. thanks ian,i thought for a long time it was my door rubbers too and i tried to source them but they were crazy money.i poured rainwater over the doors and their fine.ive removed the rear lights and resealed them and put new sealant on the area where they sit into the body,ive also a new boot seal on the way so hopefully ive sorted it for a while,i suppose its coming on 30 years old now so there will always be jobs to be done.thats why i love owning it!anyway thanks for your advice.greg
