  1. yes its a 2015 A5 2.0 tdi,that was about six months ago and the car is fine since then
  2. i think steve is right,a friend of mine had the same sympoms as you and it was the control unit that needed replacing,it was under the carpet behind the drivers seat.Greg
  3. hi chris,the only issue ive had really is water getting into the rear light fittings,which is a common fault on these,replacement bulb holders are getting very scarce too so check yours for corrosion and see what condition theyre in,make sure the waterdrains on both sides of the boot are clear of any dirt,this will allow rain water to flow away rather than sit in the boot rubber and seep into the taillight cluster.Greg

  11. a tip is to remove the wheel and wheel arch lining on the side you are doing and loosen the wing around the headlight,it doesnt take too long and its well worth doing it to avoid scratching the new headlight
  12. hi jim,yes its a simple plug in and play,i recently replaced headlight on my a5,it was 720 euro,theyre not a cheap unit.Greg

  14. hi pete yes the glass needs to be removed and some small screws to remove the cowl,its fiddly and a delicate job but can be done easily,check out a you tube video before you start.Greg
  15. neil is right,its an immobiliser and if its still wired the car wont start until you put a little fob up to it.i had the same thing in an xr4i.

  20. hi francis,ive the same engine in my coupe and i changed the cold start valve on mine,it definitely improved it but i do get the same problem as you when the engine is cold,is yours ok once it warms up?

  22. ah it could have been a lot worse,at least no other vehicle was involved so its probably a cheap lesson
