  5. hi gareth, thanks for the advice, ill check it out as id say this could be a solution because they seem in good condition but water is getting in in certain areas and they are robust enough to take some type of tubing.thanks again.
  6. hi all.im looking for the rubber door seals for my 95 coupe as mine are perished, ive tried all the usual places ebay etc, audi tradition have them but at nearly 2k i cant justify buying them.im wondering if theres any procedure worth doing that would renew my own ones, second hand rubbers would probably be in the same state as my own,any suggestions welcome!thanks greg.
  7. thats a great tip,its a place you wouldnt normally check for leaks
  8. hi ian,id say you need to replace the motor and check for leaks before fitting the new one.water has gotten into it and theyre the symptons your getting
  9. its very odd,it would definitely be worth getting checked out
  10. i know in my 95 coupe it happens after about 20 mins if its just sitting ticking over but i know these cars run hot anyway and its a lot older!
  11. i had a 2004 model steve and mine went the same way,it was the hazard switch that had failed.an easy fix.
  12. Hi ian, have you had a diagnostic check done to see what the airbag issue is?i find on these models that the airbag light is slow to go out if theyve been parked up for a while, maybe get it plugged in and see can fault be cleared. the seat belt probably need to be fully extended and the cleaned with warm soapy water, also some lubricant on the runners will help.its worth a try anyway.greg
  13. getting it rebuilt is a great idea if you could find someone to take it on.if youve no joy theres a lad in scotland who still breaks a lot of these coupes as far as i know.mike ball is his name and audibits2 is the ebay sellers name.greg
  14. no problem gareth,it amazes me when people come on here looking for help and then dont have the courtesy to reply or let us know if the advice was helpful or not.

  21. i dont know if this is any help but an audi mechanic told me lately to always leave the mirror control switch on the setting pointing to the passenger side mirror.this turns off the heating element which prevents the glue drying out.obviously when you need to heat mirrors just switch to centre setting.greg.
  22. hi george, audibits 2 in scotland has a few of these for breaking and he might have the part, mike is his name.
