Try this maybe? https://webautocats.com/etka/audi/a6q/448/121480/

If it's going towards the gearbox then it could be the gearbox oil cooler line - I had a 3l V6 touareg which developed a leak on the high pressure line due to different metals eroding each other. Try googling audi a6 automatic gearbox oil cooler line - I think 2007 was a C6

I think that there's only been 3 A5 generations and the second one from 2017 had the usb. The ami cable should give you some additional functionality - my earlier VW so did. You might also want to check your phone set up for USB.
-
Hi Steve - are you looking for the interface that plugs into the unit in the glove box? If so, I think it's called the Audi Music Interface - it will let you play music from your phone though your stereo (MMI). There are also ones for iPods etc. I'm not sure if your bluetooth spec allows you to stream - it may only be phone call enabled. Anyway if you google anything like "Audi AMI MMI cable" you'll see the choice, I suspect something like this or this might be the best options

Andy - diesel will be much better on mpg, however as you have said that you are looking for mostly town driving then the DPF/EGR becomes a possible (and expensive) issue. You also have to offset the additional cost of diesel v petrol. I got rid of my last diesel because of rising fuel costs and the expectation that before the country is completely ruined by (Delud)Ed and his predecessors, diesel is likely to be first to be "punished" (in taxes and duty) for it's evil emissions 😏
-
Are you in the considering petrol or diesel? Mine is 2l tfsi 248bhp and average consumption over 3 years /50k+ miles reads as 35.5mpg. That's probably 75/25 motorway to town driving. But I have found the efficiency driving mode to give me over 30 on short trips. If you go for diesel, then you will almost certainly suffer dpf/egr issues if you don't clock a decent journey every 4 or 5 fill ups. @Gareth - I think it is unfortunately the nature of a lot of Audi owners that they post when they have a problem but avoid providing feedback for others. When I had a Touareg, there was a lot more interaction on the mytreg forum 😕

2017 Audi A5 2.0L (F5) TFSI S Line Sat Nav Hardwire Install
Shytot replied to WayneDun's topic in Audi A5 Club
Generally for a dashcam you will need a fuse spur/tap. These allow you to retain the original fuse value for the slot and function of the car and add a new fuse for the Dashcam. Dashcams are normally on a 2-5A fuse. If you have bought the Dashcam second hand, you might also need to check the power cable in case you need a USB connection or just a GND and 12V connection. -
Have a look on this link https://www.audi.co.uk/uk/web/en/owners/terms-and-conditions/infotainment-service.html You may be able to create a hotspot if you have a sim socket in your car (possibly glove box) and you have a spare sim.
-
What are you trying to connect? Your car to your phone(hotspot) or your phone to your car wifi? Generally your car has an internal sim card that allows the car to communicate to audi and other 3rd parties but if you want to use it as a data connection, you have to buy (the relatively expensive) data package from th eAudi approved vendor (a German company) via the Myaudi app. that way your car becomes a wifi hotspot. If you are trying to connect your car to your phone, then I don't think that you can do that.

Camera calibration issue after windscreen replacement
Shytot replied to Shytot's topic in Audi Q5 Club
Gareth and Cliff - thanks for the replies - both worth considering 👍 I'm pretty certain that Audi use Autoglass as their installer. I'm also certain that there is more to the software and revisions but I don't think don't want to burn lots of money only to be no further forward. As with my original post, it's just as much a heads up for others. -
I've not been on for while - busy with work - but I've encountered a problem which may be a warning but also looking for ideas. I had my windscreen replaced at Autoglass in May - the pre sense/front camera needed to be calibrated afterwrds and it failed. Autoglass said that the error - inhomogenous illumination - was a random error which meant that there was a SW issue with the car. I didn't believe that. Audi had a look and said that the windscreen didn't have their logo so it's not a standard windscreen and they weren't interested. An independent garage tried to calibrate and got the same error and suggested that the camera was working but just not getting accurate enough images. I decided to check if it was a windscreen issue and managed to get a replacement windscreen this week (at a different fitter) and the same calibration error occured. that suggested that he car or the camera were the issue. Looking into it, the camera module on my 68 Q5 is part number 80A907217A and looking around, it is now up to 80A907217G It suggests that the cameras were an issue or were improvemed and maybe the A version is only good for specific windscreens with specific light characteristics. So I'd be interested in any other owners having any issues (or not having any) with calibration after windsreen replacement on vehicles around 2017/2018. For me, the option is to spend more money on a newer camera (ebay or scrapper £100 - £300) plus calibration (£300) with no guarantee and possibly needing coding to fiyt my vehicle. Or just get the pre sense disabled. It is a bit of a tricky one because Autoglass and others would be out of business very quickly if their windscreens were not up to spec and Audi are not interested in looking into "SW issues" without charging lots of money. The first windscreen was FUYAO (I've seen them on BMWs) and the second was Pilkingtons (well known). So it's something to be aware of if you need a windscreen changing and maybe you have to insist that it is an Audi approved one. I've got an OBD Eleven dongle which can enable and disable some fetures but I don't want to delve any deeper than that. I need to find someone who can either do a reset on the driver assisitance module (5F) SW in case there is a bug or corruption, otherwise get the pre sense module disabled. I also need to check if the pre sense is part of the MOT checks - that could be a real problem if it is. Any suggestions welcome!

The only other thing to consider is choice - 19's are not as prevalent as 18's so the tyre choice may be more limited (and expensive). I had 19's on a 61 Touareg and they were fine but on a car as has been said, they might compromise the ride.

Key resync after battery replacement not working....
Shytot replied to Safara's topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
That's a shame - it sounds like you need to get the door "connected" back to the ecu / entry system. The mechanical bits need the electronics! -
Key resync after battery replacement not working....

I posted this link on another thread - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/osWj4f-Mn7g - might be worth a try? also this one is slightly different to your method https://youtu.be/QkIdVobV_UI?si=z0dO4wwsFD8_HBsQ - again worth a try. -
Season's greetings and all the best to you and yours! 🎄

The myaudi app will also give you the configuration - you can also go to their website - https://my.audi.com/ - in both, once you register your vehicle you can get details of the equipment and service history. You might also have access to Audi connect for a trial period and at least one option to upload the latest maps. It sounds (no pun intended) like you have the Bose subwoofer? Mine takes up th ewhole spare wheel area but I have seen a Q7 where the sub woofer fits inside the space saver wheel. As for keyless entry - I think that they have the mechanical options all attached to the door but mine also has the little rectangles that suggest keyless but they aren't connected ot anything 😞
-
I think that it's part of EU regulations that every new vehicle has to have a speed limiter - just another attack on our freedom 😠
-
Have you tried this reset option? You'll need your 5 year old to try it https://youtube.com/shorts/osWj4f-Mn7g?si=v-EY7cUPTYl6L5Gd
-
You should have something like this in your glove box You may have to pull a plastic lever to release it from the top of the glovebox? As for the costs of the internal SIM - it's not chealp and is managed by a German company I think. If you download the myAudi app you can set your car up on audi connect for around £14/£15 per month. IMHO it's cheaper to plug your phone in and use the data from that.

When I had a Touareg there was a trick to reset your automatic gearbox - it doesn't cost anything so might be worth trying. Basically you put your foot flat on the accelarator, ignition (not engine) on and hold pedal down for 15 - 20 seconds. Then foof off and start it up. If your battery has been flat it might have caused various errors - this might help reset the ECU/ECM - as an aside, if it's th original battery, then even if you fully charge it, it may already be a goner especially with all of the cold weather.

Yours is a C8 4K. If you have the My Audi App you can find out your configutration and extras there
-
You can change it yourself - you can google to find out how to - I suspect your key fob has the "key" hidden inside, in which case you pinch the tabs at the silver end to pull the key element out and then pinch the black lugs to pull out the battery holder - CR2032 should be the battery type (buy a pack for future emergencies and keep it in your glove box)
-
If you want to get the boot open then there should be access from the rear side (in the boot) of the door GoogleaIs "audi a3 emergency boot release" for lots of indications and the release method. If you want to fix it then it's probably a solenoid so again Google something like "audi a3 boot latch fault" that should give you several videos on how to strip the door and investigate the problem.
-
My 2018 Q5 has a jack included - you'd need it in order to lift the tyre to squirt in the gunge. Good tip from Gareth on the locking wheel nut - it isn't very obvious in the boot - it should be at the back just past where the jack should be! 🙂

My Q5 S Tronic DSG just hit 40K miles and there is an ATF change recommended + filter - the garage could only get 3.5l in even though it recommends 4l- no other work required. It's expensive stuff - @ £25+ per litre
