  1. As an alternative - these guys are pretty poular in the VW world and thye have mobile fitting or send you the kit https://www.pfjones.co.uk/ Worst case you can get a reference price from their website.
  2. I watched the Guy Martin programme and couldn't help feeling that it was a blatant attempt at trying to "teach" us that electric can be good especially with the latest COP 26 Pilgrimage coming up. I found it interesting that the cost of re-charging was not much cheaper than petrol / diesel already and likely to be significantly more expensive once there are enough victims to screw. Most electric vehicles in the UK are company cars bought to avoid tax. As you say it makes some people feel good to virtue signal, others feel that they can pose around and some genuinely fee that hey are saving the planet. I believe that there is a place for electric cars but spending billions to put in an infrastructure that will never be convenient isn't really the best use of money. Some of the biggest issues for me are: Battery life - even if electric cars get cheaper, if they are only good for 7 years then they are no good Charging - with no fossil fuels and an already straining grid - how do they think they can generate enough on demand electricity to charge everyone's car overnight (when there is less wind and no sun). Costs - infrastructure aside, we already pay a premium in our energy bills to subsidise renewables, electricity is only going to get more expensive year on year - just look at the guaranteed price for electricity supply from the new Hinkley Point Nuclear power station. Plus tax revenue will drop off from oil so it has to go somewhere else. There are lots of other issues but ultimately the whole energy supply situation and the scaremongering climate change scammers are driving us down the road to ruin - or to being totally dependent on the woke and intolerant liberal left. Rant over 😀
  3. Have a look here https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/9942-sat-nav-activation/ I don't think that you have much choice. You can Google something like "enable 2015 audi a3 sat nav" and see if anyone out there has found a solution.
  4. Hi Ann - it's VW508 Besides that, the level of oil consumption is far too high. You should get the car back to the dealer and ask them to sort it out. They should at least check for any obvious leaks. I have read somewhere that they also have in the past drained the oil and then put in the 5 or 5.5 litres, record the mileage and then measure the loss 1000 miles later to see if the loss is below specification. That said, on a 2021 car they have no excuse.
  5. Which engine are you talking about - petrol 2.0 tfsi? There is a mention in my manual that you can expect up to 0.5l per 1000km and higher for the first 5000km (close to your 3900 miles) In my manual it is one of the last sections and it is highlighted grey as a note. Service and care topping up fluids engine oil This has become a hot issue because previous engines were leaking oil through the piston seals leading to total engine replacement. As for buying the right oil - if you don't want to drive then get it on the Internet OpieOils.co.uk are pretty good, otherwise Google VW508.00 and follow any link that takes your fancy 👍
  6. LTE Booster /compensor activated - I can't see any difference - and the side member was "serviced"
  7. Sorry Steve - I didn't reply to this. I believe it is only Q5s but not necessarily consecutive builds. I think that Q5s are only built in Mexico which reduces the impact.
  8. As my post said - the app tells you when the next 2 are due and it can be worked out if it is 10k/1 Yr or 20k/2yr You said that they explained this when you bought the car. If it's too confusing then why not ring them up and ask them?
  9. Have look here to work out what you have https://upgrademyaudi.net/tutorials/how-to-check-what-mmi-do-i-have-mmi-2g-3g-3g-types-of-audi-navigation-systems/ The connectors should be the same (they are called AMI) Once you know what you have then Google is your friend 👍
  10. The myaudi app has all of the service info under service topics Mine has 2 lines showing the next oil change and the next inspection, then there is a summary of what has already been done and an area called additional for gearbox /ATF oil, brake fluid etc.
  11. Yes that's right. I've read on this site (or possibly myaudiq5.com) that the adjustable arm rest is an optional extra. It's a pretty petty move by Audi IMO.
  12. If you have the time a 2021 A3 then you can sign up to my.audi.com or through the myaudi app and all the info will be there. My 68 reg Q5 doesn't have a service book and Audi confirmed that they don't do them any more. I'm surprised that they didn't explain it when you bought the car.
  13. It should be - but you may need to set the phone up to allow file transfer. A USB AMI cable is pretty cheap on e bay or amazon.
  14. I'm pretty sure your stuck with the screens. Firmware updates normally fix bugs and are sometimes needed in order to ensure that later version maps work. Have a look on this link it might help https://mca.electricmura.ro/en/blog-audi-mmi-mib-models/
  15. That's not a standard cable. I suspect that a USB stick with mp3s would play. If your phone is android then you may need to set it up to allow data transfer over USB.
  16. You might want to do a bit of Googling to confirm this but this link suggests that it may be by design and despite the speed limits being stored in the maps Audi are (in effect) only allowing camera recognition for road speed limits https://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-a3-s3-rs-3-13/map-update-speed-limits-not-working-a3-8y-2020-model-3011713/
  17. It worked once but has reverted back now. I'll keep looking but clearing my cache every time is too much of a PITA. Cheers Update OK so if I clear all stored data for this site address and then login it works every time. So when I log in some data is being stored on my browsers and stopping me from connecting next time.
  18. Just cleared my cache / browsing data and it logged in first time!
  19. Sorry Trevor - no difference. It's very random - there must be something about my phone that your server just doesn't like. I can live with it 👍
  20. Did you do the install yourself? If so it might be worth googling for similar installs to see if you can recode or re-pin. You might also have problems with steering sensors - specifically calibration - so probably best to double check 👍
  21. Both checked today. Other than them trying to charge me £56 for 2 wipers, there was nothing to report!
  22. You could always send a spider in..... to catch the fly...... 😁 😁 😁 The vacuum cleaner sounds like a good idea 👍
  23. Does it need coding / adaption? I'd imagine some of the electronics is different between the two wheels.
