  1. I hope is not too late to leave my opinion. Check oxigen sensor, the first one before catalytic convertor. Can be dirty and can't smell exhaust gases properly,so he will sent notification to ECU like to much air on intake, the ECU will increase the fuel quantity in your engine and this is the result=high fuel consumtion. I had this problems before, the oxigen sensor can be death and will show you on dash(check engine light) or dirty from smoke and you can't see on computer but you will notice a high fuel consumtion.
  2. Thanks Steve. I will flush engine, no doubt. I don't want 0W20 on my engine, even 5W30. I want 0W40,5W40(vw502 00)but i don't know if it's ok. Old 1.4 engine are running with 5W30 /5W40. There is anyone with this engine who are using 5W30/5W40? 0W20 is very low viscosity at high temperature (6-8 square mm/second) 5W40 is 16-21 square mm/second, that's meant more protection for the engine.
  3. Hi guys! I have an 1.4tfsi (66 plate)20.000 mls.I want to change the engine oil.On owner manual i have vw 508 00 for flexible service.508 00 is 0W20 oil,low viscosity so...bad oil.As alternative they recomend me 504 00 wich is 5W30.For fixed service is 502 00(5W40). Till now,my car has on flexible oil service(???)despite the low mileage.I have phoned audi dealer in Edinburgh and they told me to use 5W30.Audi Crewe(they done service for this car from new)they said i have to use ONLY 0W20. If i'm looking for engine oil, every website recomend 0W20 except halfords (5W40).Castrol recomend only 0W20,Mobile 0W20 and 0W40. The question is this:any of you are using 5W40 for his engine? Why there are not alternative on website if the owner manual said very clear i can use 3 different grade of oil? Why audi dealer said only 0W20? Any help please? Thanks.
