  1. if you open the bonnet there is a large black plastic panel nearest the windscreen the covers from the windscreen to the bulkhead, you will need to remove this. When this is removed you will see the ECU and the back of the clutch master cylinder too in the same area (drivers side)
  2. i am on the look out for a RS4 B7 throttle body if anybody has a spare lying around?
  3. has anybody ever experienced this: When not used the car in a number of hours i get to the car ignition on and press the start button and all you can here is a small click of the relay under the steering column. Ive you hold down on the start button you will hear a second click of the relay too but the car wont turn over. No matter how many times you press the button or how long you press it nothing happens apart from that relay clicking. If you go off for 5-6 minutes and come back to the car and try start it then it will 99% of the time turn over and start as normal. Before i go buying a new starter motor or battery i wanted to put it out there in-case somebody else came across this issue, my gut is telling me its one of them
  4. this issue ended up to be a failed clutch slave cylinder leaking inside the gearbox, gearbox off, clean like hell and clean some more and replace the part. sadly it would be ver hard to inspect this issue with the gearbox on 😕
  5. do you get this error on the dashboard: "Engine start system fault. Please contact workshop"
  6. how did you get on with these did you fit them?
  7. just wondering if you ever went with this tune? always curious when companies make these BHP increase claims without seeing the car etc
  8. ill send you a PM
  9. open to offers
  10. have you got a link on ebay?
  11. Plate is currently on the car and coming off asap open to offers
  12. defiantly a Nox sensor issue, that car cant talk to the sensor for whatever reason The easy one is check the sensor is not dead after that you looking at checking the wiring unfortunately which is a right pain
  13. wouldn't say that's the master cylinder at all going by being able to start on a rolling start two questions? 1. Have you any fault codes with VCDS or ODIS (or any reputable diagnostics scanner) 2. Next time you go to first start the car in the morning can you attach a jumper pack or jump leads and try a cold start to see if the problem remains? I ask the above as question 1 would tell you if you had a master cylinder sensor fault or a starter motor circuit fault and question 2 is more of a hunch.... Ive seen on 2 Audi's now when the battery is getting tired everything looks OK but theirs not enough kick in the battery to start her when shes cold especially with the cold snap of December/January weather
  14. Thanks Shimi, replied to you there
  15. i actually ordered some Chinese ones today, now i play the waiting game for delviery
  16. is the E10 in the UK a bio ethanol mix of 10 or what way do you guys do it over there? i remember we used to have E5 petrol here around 15 years ago and it was great for Jap cars as it brought up the octane rating but it was bad for the euro cars even back then especially BMW's
  17. Yeah ive seen a few for the standard A6 on there but nothing for the wider side skirts on the ultra 😕 person that had the car before me had regular mudflaps stuck on and they looked very poor id rather have the proper stuff on it
  18. where abouts in Ireland are you buddy? if your near Carlow i can plug it into ODIS & VCDS for you. See whats going on. Last time i seen that it was an ignitor fault.
  19. Plate is currently on the car, happy to put the car back on the original plate to allow the sale of this private plate Open to offers
  20. unless he went for one of them digital speaker exhausts 😕 would sound like a RS6 then with little change out of 2/3k for the privilege
  21. thanks buddy i might run her with VCDS and see if the fuel system is showing anything odd, at this stage its worth a try
  22. Here is a video i took earlier in 4th gear..... Gets to 2400rpm and jumps to 3100rpm Falls back to 2600rpm and we go on our way again as if nothing happened During the jump you can see the selected gear notification disappears during the jump and comes back when the revs have come back down..... This is what i mean about it being a strange jump as in my opinion a clutch on the way out would slip at 2400rpm and keep slipping not stop slipping WhatsApp Video 2022-11-01 at 23.44.36.mp4
  23. Right, this is proving to be a right pain..... Clutch, Flywheel, and slave cylinder were all swapped for new parts and ITS STILL doing this weird issue To recap now it's fine when on normal cruise and partial throttle there is no issue at all its smooth as they day it rolled out of the dealership, the problem kicks in under heavy acceleration say when over taking the power comes in and you can feel the turbo pull the car then it looses power, stops pulling, the revs jump up 500-1000rpm and the car comes back in, naturally the turbo is no longer pulling as its lost pressure but if i keep my foot accelerating you can feel the turbo coming back in again In all the years Ive dealt with clutch slipping it would always loose grip at a certain RPM and keep spinning after that RPM that being said i still replaced the clutch and flywheel on this car last week and changed the slave cylinder whilst it was all stripped out for the sake for €150 it seemed like a good move. So now im nearly 2k deep in parts cost and the problem remains after the new clutch & flywheel. I am at a lose trying to think whats mechanical, whats controlled by sensors, cold it be a faulty LSD im running out of ideas as im used to working on JAP cars
  24. i didnt know the OE stuff was rebranded Fuchs stuff, handy to know. Its like the Halfords stuff is actually Comma oils in a different bottle
