  1. Hi Steve I agree but that information of timing belt and water pump change is now 140,000 miles not 60,000 or 5years and this came from main dealership in Erdington BIrmingham Jardine Motors main Audi Dealership
  2. I’ve actually had the work done but feel I may not have needed to the reason I haven’t been on the website lately is due to my wife been very ill !!!
  3. Just had the timing belt and water pump replaced as I was led to believe 5 years or 60,000 mile it was last done in 2014 and has now done 67,000 mile and it is 5 years . Audi have informed me now the 5 year rule has gone and you change it at 140,000 mile which is true
  4. All parts were as Audi stipulated don’t forget it’s a dual mass fly wheel and to keep the service history in order it must be an Audi recognised garage that’s why they can use the same software as Audi

Just let you know Steve our usual garage Central Audi did our clutch complete for £1400 minus £400 off from our excellent warranty company Warranty Solutions.Main dealership quoted £2700 for same job using same parts .We have been quoted £1400 there a outs for timing belt change new water pump brake fluid change and a flange seal what do you think of price it’s from Central Audi can you imagine what main Audi dealer would charge

  8. All done now really happy but now thinking of renewing warranty in August using Motor Easy as they deal with consequential damage which many companies don’t any thoughts on this company I believe they used to be Warranties Direct
  9. Just going by the book and using correct parts and recommendations
  10. Audi recommends if theres a clutch problem as mine change the flywheel at 65,000 miles miles done 64,000 and some so change flywheel
  11. It’s done 65,000 m mile and is 2014 registered with full service history
  12. It’s an Audi TD I 2.00 litre Cabriolet and its at central Audi birmingham not a main dealer but specialists who have done work for us before
  13. Clutch slave cylinder leaking at Audi specialists told me flywheel contaminated so replace including clutch kit incl thrust bearing etc price £1488 is that about right
  14. And our Engine Management Light was on it may be worth looking at a warranty we are with Warranty Solutions who are excellent

Hi John we had much the same problem but our dpf light was on virtually permanently we took it to a so called Audi specialist who was full of rubbish and couldn’t sort it then we were recommended to Audi Central in Erdington Birmingham who sorted the problem in a day when it came down to it it was a sensor which they replaced I think it was called the Exaust emissions sensor and I believe there are three so they used a donor car to see which sensor and like magic they sorted it . But they did tell me if the DPF was at a certain level of whatever it might need replacing luckily ours was ok and this was done under the warranty given by the dealer we bought the car off

  17. Can you replace the indicator strips in the wing mirrors as ours are only partly lighting
  18. Not sure of the name but there is a company in Coventry that specialises in soft tops google hood repairs in Coventry

  20. On the door chart on our A3 Cabriolet TDI 2.0 litre it only shows pressures for 17 ‘’ wheels. Ours are 18’’ so what is the correct tyre pressure we have Bridgestone R18 Turranza’s fitted all around thanks for your help

  24. Certain garages can carry out a forced re gen I think Halfords can do it
