Just changed the sensor for new one £14 99 off ebay, seller is parts for German cars! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334125089613?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=uI6ymBN1QH-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mj7sTIQsTui&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Started and drove a bit with no message coming back up so happy days..... really easy to change out in 2 mins so dont go paying £200 at audi to get this done, anyone struggling let me know and I will do a quick video if needed. Wonder how many people are caught out by this, end up with the abs failure as they are unaware of the faulty sensor issue. If audi are not going to recall and rectify the least they could do is issue a warning letter to all the owners they have on record? I only found out as I googled it, I carry out maintenance myself so I looked to see the cause and fix. But not everyone lifts the bonnet on their cars so potentially audi are replacing these abs units needlessly, causing crippling costs to owners which could be easily avoided. Mine is 2016 so 7 years old, not expecting the older cars be recalled suppose, but this thread is a few years old now and new cars then were suffering from failure and still nothing was done by audi..... love the cars but why so expensive when cheaper car manufacturers carry so much better warranties....

Edit.....as I work away and the q7 sits parked up for weeks at a time, I'm thinking, if the replacement of the sensor works, (when it arrives) I'm gonna buy another and keep it in the car so if in the future this happens again I can just changeout straight away. Don't have to drive anywhere and risk the costly abs issue resulting.....

I've just ordered from same seller for £14.99, pleased I've read jyour comment on their parts as i was thinking of just going to audi and paying full price...... For what the part is can't be worth more than a tenner anyway! Fingers crossed it works when fitted as ive only driven 3 times and about 10 mile if that. Pretty bad that the Audi didnt have the warning give a more direct message to get it fixed, rather than continue driving. As it obviously leads to an extremely expensive repair bill if your not one of the lucky ones and found this post...

Had the message come in my 2016 Q7 a few times but only done maybe 10 miles if that since, parked up now and not gonna move it till I've changed the sensor.... anyone changed theirs on a 4M Audi Q7, where is it located and are all the sensors the same part for all audi models. You tube vid link? Cheers Paul

Anybody had these messages pop up, start stop warning goes off when I disable the start stop by pressing the button in dashboard and the brake servo warning comes in then goes off? It's a 2016 -

I bought a scanner to change my rear brake pads to allow me to release the ehb and get the piston back in on the caliper. Works well I thought, pretty straight forward to use and not gonna break the bank ANCEL VD500 OBD2 Scanner Code Reader ABS SRS EPB Oil Diagnostic Tool For VW/Audi. Bought off ebay. -

I've always used the disclock and have one on each, focus rs and my Q7. Watched a video on you tube where tests were done on various steering locks to see how hard they were to get off. The disclock was hardest and took the longest, but still battery powered grinder will get anything off in time. They go round cutting exhausts off in broad daylight, all depends how much time they want to spend but by the sounds of things if they are willing to break into your house to try and find the keys I wouldn't think much is going to deter them.

So far so good, snow foamed and jet washed all the dirt and salt off the underside of the car yesterday and have just covered every exposed bit of metal I could see. (Still a bit under covers I couldn't get to although tried to spray through the little holes...) Looks well covered and protected from the next dose of salt on the roads. Only used half the bottle of spray and maybe a quarter of the grease. So plenty left to do the RS whenever I get it out the garage. Suppose anythings better than nothing and as it still looks pretty new underneath worth the 30mins it took this morning to get the stuff sprayed onto what I could access with the q7 in lift mode so I could get underneath the running boards while on drive.... smells rather like a farmyard 🤣 Sprays on easy so hope it cures somewhat in the next 24 hrs before i need to drive it? Has anyone else bothered with this lanoguard stuff.

MOT just been done and guess what.... no issues identified! I even told the tester about the garages findings 6 months ago and their advice to change soon as!! Anyone else and that would've been quite a nice 700+ bill! In minds whether to call them back and ask the manager to explain his approach to buisness... Quite shocked to be honest, had this expensive repair bill on my mind since and for something that was explained to me as pretty bad and needed doing quickly to now not even being highlighted on an mot even after I suggested he check them is Infuriating really. Wonder how many people have been conned by this almost 5 star rated vag specialist... Speak to the manager then give the honest review on every site I can find! No wonder their premises are so expensive looking ffs

Remap booked in but been thinking about clutch and gearbox limits, what's the max torque the standard clutch is rated for and even the 8 speed zf gearbox? Wanna make sure i keep well below their limits

Just recently bought an upgrade pack for the audi mmi, couple of sd cards with new sat nav maps, software update, android auto, apple carplay etc. Good for a few different audi models with full install instructions, just installed today on mine if anyones interested in an upgrade to software and 2022 maps seems a waste as I hopefully won't need and have to install all the updates again.....

Booked in to a local gearbox zf Pro specialist place to get the zf gearbox a full service, pan off and changed and also front and rear diff with the centre transfer box fluids changed....bit pricey but my drive ain't level and don't fancy risking not getting the oil level bang on. Cars pretty low miles and maybe early to be changing oils but i cant see what harm it will do apart from drop my bank balance..... 🤪 Prevention rather than cure.....

Passing a local tyre place yesterday on way home in decided to call in and get these balanced again as it has been bugging me.... alot... and one of the rears was out! Can't understand it as I watched the last place do them and the weights were fitted where the machine told him. Drives so much better now so happy days..... 😊 Know where to go in future, and where not..... 🤣

Ah well, its not the wheel balancing..... and not the tyre pressures.... not sure what to get checked next to be honest, hopefully something simple but I doubt it...... Ever so slight a bounce/shudder, maybe nothing and I'm just being over sensitive 😳..... Just have to put up with it till it gets bad enough that it's obvious I think
