  1. Well i finally got my coolant leak issue resolved. Hose and seal issues. So extended warranty wouldn't cover it. Dealer said they will cover costs as gesture of good faith. ( i did wait a while for an appointment) I am pleasantly surprised, and faith in the dealers has been considerably restored. Any other pleasant dealership stories out there.
  2. Mines 9 years old this Dec. I got an extended warranty July 23 for a year no probs. I opted named component cover £250 excess. This was driven by a thermostat & gearbox sump housing replacement under the original approved 1 year warranty. I wanted that piece of mind. I haven't had to use it thankfully. Below 100k is a requirement as said. As is more than 3 years old. I believe under 10 is requirement but don't quote me on that. Looked at a possible renewal for this year, but need to reconfirm prices which are higher ( older car so understandable) My car is on 65k
  3. Thanks Steve i’m not great with cars. Have had another look today noticed a few stains and damp patches. Will chase it up with Audi on Tuesday. 896C0B93-22F2-411A-8A66-AF7482EBB3D4.MOV
  4. Just dawned on me i had Thermostat and Gear box sump housings replaced in July 23. Lets see i hope i haven got a dud.
  5. So i was out yesterday and had the warning light came on, with a check coolant level message. This went on and off a few times. Went home and there is bugger all coolant in the housing, and i steam was coming from a connector to the tank. The temp gauge had not moved at all. Looked today and a bit off coolant has reappeared in the housing. Looks a bit splashy with drips and some pooling below the housing. So a leak it appears. Steam must have been due to pressure build up. So do i just put some distilled water in it and get it to the garage. Or chuck in some G13 and top it right up. Car had a health check end of Dec. I must admit i haven't looked at the levels, thinking everything is fine after the recent health check. So who knows what has occurred though i gather this is a common fault. I have an Audi extended warranty so lets see what comes of it.
  6. Thanks Craig
  7. Cheers Steve i do have someone local in mind i found online. Think he comes to addresses. Was just thinking if complicates things if interior door panels need removing, with the electrics involved. I gather PDR can remove certain dents without the need for interior panel removal. Suppose i will have to check first.
  8. Had my Approved A4 2.0 TFSI since July 22. Been a bit unlucky over the last 3 weeks, and picked up 2 very minor dings on both doors drivers side. Shame as the car is otherwise immaculate. I mentioned this to Audi, who are doing the Mot and oil service next month. They gave me the number for their approved repair centre, who hopefully can attend the day i have the mot. Anyone had previous experience with Audi approved repairers. These dings just need pushing out. Cant do it myself. I wouldnt want to mess about with door panels. Was thinking maybe an independent, but i would probably need to wait for the end of warranty. Any tips or advice appreciated.
  9. All sorted! pushed back into place, with a few stitches to keep everything in place.
  10. I let this ride for a bit. Finally being seen 27th Feb to get it sorted..hopefully.
  11. Thanks Steve Q. Audi dealer checked it out. They couldn't fix it. So an Audi Approved Upholsterer will be arranged to visit me at home, so they can look at it and try to carry out the repair. If they cant fix it, Audi will provide a new seat cover. Audi guy i was dealing with, says technicians reckon the leather may have stretched, for some reason. Will update in due course. Regards John.
  12. Just curious if anyone has experienced leather upholstery issue before. My drivers seat has slightly separated from the headrest plastic moulding. Its is relatively minor. Audi have said it should just clip back in, but it doesn't. Looks like the headrest moulding, needs removing first. Anyway the car has approved warranty, and i have left it with them. So lets see.
  13. My 2.0 TFSI is Dec 2015. V5 states B8 but it is a B9.
