  1. Thanks for the reply. I have shown it to a few mechanics. One said it's complete normal. (Non specialist local garage) Another said the timing chain is stretched and will need replacing. (Audi Specialist) That is a 2.2k job, including kit and tensioners The vehicle is approaching 90k, but from reading, the chains should last the lifetime of the vehicle. What's the mileage and year on your vehicle, and have you replaced the chains yet?
  2. Hi guys, Does my engine sound fine? 20240329_144504.mp4
  3. Hello guys, Please see my video uploaded to YouTube. Is this a camshaft issue or timing chain?
  4. Yes I also found it interesting, that's the first thing I asked to my mechanic who was doing the job. Shell Vpower does say what it says on the tin.
  5. Hello guys, I ended up taking it to my local garage for diagnosis and unfortunately there was a massive coolant leak clearly visible when the car was up on the ramp. It was a big job, they had to take remove the front bumper and strip the engine to get to the V and the main culprit was indeed the coolant control valve. I had to also replace the egr valve, water pump with all gaskets,o rings and replace the oil and coolant, and oil cooler gasket all audi genuine parts from TPS total came to £1200 including labour. Common issue across the 3.0 tdi engines including the q ranges. BTW, having using v power diesel for over 20k miles my old 75k egr valve was spotless.
  6. Hi Tommy, I don't see any dampness or dripping near the radiator and on driveway. I think it could potentially be leaking from thermostat housing or coolant control valve.
  7. Thanks for your reply I will carry out the above steps mentioned and come back with findings. My A7 has done only 75k which is alarming 🥵
  8. Hello guys Just a quick question regarding the coolant on my car. I usually have to top up my coolant from minimum mark to max every 535 miles. Is this normal for consumption for this engine? I heard that it's slightly more than this but can anyone shed some light?
  9. Hi when I purchased my A7 2017 from a reputable dealer, I didn't receive any Audi manuals and don't really know what service intervals is specific to my car. For gearbox oil replacement would this be every 50k miles? Also, fuel filter replacement would this be every 100k?
  10. I have looked through all the setting options on my mmi screen and I cannot find a way to deactivate the auto headlights. When its positioned at the 0 mark still remains switched on. Have Audi designed it to act this way permanently?
