  1. Do you have the tour pack (or whatever it's called now?) with the adaptive cruise control? Adding that capability deletes the FBSW in place of the round one. Round one may have more sensors, certainly just touching the bottom of it is enough for the car to detect your hand on the wheel.
  2. Frequently, Alexa Integration loses connection to Amazon somehow and reverts to a barely-functional version of Audi's own voice control. This is identified by Alexa answering (but in the Audi voice) with "Alexa, to use Alexa you can say things like Alexa what’s my flash briefing..." In what appears to be a "disconnected" mode, you can only do the same as you could with the Audi voice control. When Alexa is connected correctly, you can ask Alexa almost anything you can with a normal Alexa unit in the home. "Alexa, take a note" is REALLY helpful in the car, and I also use "Alexa Open/Close the garage door" and "Alexa turn on the garage lights / floodlights / etc" with home integration devices. As evidenced here: https://www.e-tronforum.com/threads/alexa-works-maybe-20-of-the-time.4495/ others have the same problem. It's not unique to my car, it's a software defect in the MMI - I suspect that if the connection to Amazon's services is not established when the MMI first fires up, it doesn't recover. A reboot of the MMI will fix (it takes about 5 minutes before everything comes back online) but the next time you start the car, it could be broken again or might work. I'm interested in gathering feedback from others who have this issue across different models with Alexa integration and reporting directly to Audi and my local dealer. Do others have this problem please?
  3. Me too! Welcome 🙂
  4. Thanks Mick - that's great 🙂 Appreciate the help.
  5. Hi Mick, Super helpful, thankyou - really appreciate your time. I managed to find one to order. I didn't go as far as getting the bracket (yet), I need to see if the Road Hero spare would fit the well, and TBH I'm more inclined to leave this all alone at the moment and put the wheel in its bag onto the boot floor and secure it to those silver retainers that fold up. It comes with a bag for tools, and I'll just swap out the audi jack for the one they supply. It might have been fine, but I feel much happier having the Audi/VW jack that's specced for the car. Does the bracket attach to the two bolts in the top left of the attached picture?
  6. A few hours of research revealed the following: 4K8011031A which I confirmed with a few sites / listings. If anyone has experience of the Road Hero wheels on an A6 I'd be grateful for any advice around this topic. Cheers Mike
  7. I wonder if someone can assist? I've just purchased a new A6 (C8) 40 TDI quattro, but it didn't come with the space saver wheel and toolkit. I have ordered a Road Hero spare wheel which comes with a toolkit, but I would prefer to use the Audi jack that would have been supplied with the vehicle if the space saver wheel had been fitted. Does anyone have the spare wheel and toolkit combination, and could advise me the exact part number of the jack supplied, and perhaps share a picture of it? many thanks Mike
