  1. Happy you got it sorted in the end. The sad reality is that 100% effort is put into getting you to sign on the dotted line and parting with your money and then everything goes downhill from there, no one gives a flying f*** after that. Not just Audi to be fair.
  2. Are you buying the car outright or PCP. If it’s PCP have you gone through a broker and have you had to use their finance. Either way you should be able to get your finance elsewhere at a better rate, or even a personal loan. if you are tied to that finance agreement for some reason you can legally withdraw from it as soon as you get the car but you will have to have an alternative finance package in place to pay them off. If you withdraw within 14 days you will only pay interest for the number of days you have had the car.
  3. Wow, that’s disgraceful. Who is the finance from. Can you take your finance business elsewhere with better rates?
  4. Not if you’re leasing it won’t because you’ll hand it back at the end of the lease. Privately could mean a few hundred quid. Psychological in the mind of the buyer if it’s registered 1st November instead of 30th October
  5. Joe, I’d ask them not to register it until Wednesday 1st November, every little helps come re sale time, unless of course you’re leasing. And definitely get anything you can out of them 👍
  6. Hi Joe, I ordered my car the same day as you with specific options so not a bog standard car. At that time delivery times were being quoted at 12-14 weeks, they are now nearer 12 months. Mine was built week 29 (July29th) and was at Emden on3rd August where it apparently sat for nearly seven weeks,( which I don’t believe it did). I ordered through a broker but eventually went direct to Lincoln Audi who were supplying the car on 19th September and they said it had just arrived that very day at Grimsby, but they provided me with a reg no at that point which makes me think they’d had it already 🤔. The next day I got a call to say it was now at the dealership and I got it delivered on 28th September. From arrival at Grimsby they have 7-10 days to get it to the dealership and delivers to you another 7-10 days later. if yours was shipped on 15th September you should have it by now, only thing that could be holding yours up is if it’s going to a central dealership first that is supplying lease companies rather than, as in my case, a private sale.
  7. Absolutely crazy😱 I’ve had mine a week now and done just over a thousand miles. Very pleased with it.
  8. At least that’s something positive. Hopefully it gets there in October but that will still be six months which is strange for a car ordered in April, based on other people’s experiences.
  9. Wow, five months from ordering and only just got a build date. That is disgraceful. I know they are now quoting up to 12 months for delivery but that was certainly not the case in April. As I said before, my mate ordered his last week in March and got it delivered 1st week in June. It wasn’t a bog standard car either he had chosen some options. I’m still amazed at the inconsistency between dealers. Hope things progress quicker for you now, you just have to keep on at the dealer to get updates. Also ask them to provide the Audi order number and the VIN no as soon as it’s built. That way you will know if they sell it to another customer and just tell you yours has been delayed. You then get a later one off the line. Not uncommon I understand.
  10. I think they would be hard pressed to void your warranty because you wrapped or painted a bit of exterior trim that serves no purpose other than cosmetic. im not even sure what could possibly be claimed for under warranty in respect of that. If the wrap or respray is crap then it’s my own fault.
  11. Yes I’m looking at that as one option. The others are wrapping the chrome part or respraying it black.
  12. Finally some good news 🤞
  13. I hope the service improves under the new owners. You should at least have a confirmed build date by now. 🤞🤞🤞
  14. Just had an update on delivery . I was told yesterday it had only just arrived at the port of Grimsby and a few hours ago I was told it was now at the dealers and will be delivered next Thursday.
