  1. Ok cyber bully... thanks for that information. You go about your day now.
  2. Anything I write or do gets critisized. I'm a regular car owner, what's the big deal i posted some photos of my brakes, asked a question about them, you've turned the experience into something else. No doing right by you.
  3. No progress magnet except from I got my tyres changed, and got a second opinion on my brakes... added photos of my front and back. I was told back brakes need doing... but what's the community opinion on both front and back disc and pads? I still need to find a few brands that i should use...
  4. Ok i will check them out, I am last seconds on the brakes a lot specially when traffic builds up on the motorway journey in peak traffic. I'll check those brakes out.
  5. I drive on the motorway frequently. I would say border line impatient sometimes when stuck in traffic. I've not had a set of brakes for around 3 years, if that helps.
  6. Hi All, just looking out for recommendations for brake pads and discs... any particular brands I should get or avoid... I've got a4 b9 2017 2.0 quattro Thanks for your help in advance
  7. Hi I have an airbag light on my car because someone reversed into me. I haven't got any exterior damage, the parking sensors all work, start/stop is working. I only have the airbag light that has appeared. I am not sure what to do, I can't afford a VCDS airbag reset tool. But i might be able to buy another tool that is cheaper to reset the light. If anyone can point me to the right direction please, mechanics are charging around £90 an hour for diagnostic testing, so I think it's better for me to also try a tool myself. Can any recommend an odb2 reader that can try to reset the airbag light?
  8. Hi All, I've joined the forum to let others know some information that I found useful, and I believe some might find this useful. I have a 2017 Audi A4 B9 2.0 TDI with one year used approved warranty. I had the dreaded Brake Servo Restricted message come up and my Start/ Stop disabled message. I had to get to destination, tested the brakes and they worked, however when pressing on the brakes, it was clunking and crunching when braking which wasn't smooth. Whilst driving, I found that the brakes were ok, and no issues except when slowing down then the clunking and crunching began. I then got to the place I needed to be around 15 miles later. I called out the Audi Assist team and they seemed to already know the issue. The Mechanic/ engineer plugged in the diagnostics to my OBD and said did the problem happen at this time. I said yes. He told me I did the right thing to call straight away. He said if you do not follow the warning take to workshop and you continue driving, after around 300 brake press on the pedal the car's ABS will start feeding in pressure, and cause loads of ABS Module problems and that repair will not be covered under warranty, this is because the driver continued driving the vehicle with the warning light on. The part replaced was the Brake Boost Pressure, and it was covered under Warranty, thank fully.
