  1. Hi Todel, I have the 65 plate A4 with wired car play and also had this issue since I bought it in 2022. I haven’t found an exact fix but I managed to improve it, occasionally it won’t work but id say it connects 95% of the time now. 1. When you get into the car the first thing you should do is plug in your phone before starting the car or ignition. Wait 5-10 seconds and you should see the Apple car play screen light up on your phone, go ahead and turn on the car and it should be sound. The longer you leave it to plug in your phone after getting in or evening just opening the doors the less chance of it connecting first time, that’s what I found anyway. let’s say I need maps and it won’t connect and don’t have time to mess around, I go into my settings, delete my car as connection in car play and replug in again and it connects first time. 2. try clearing out your charger port on your phone, honestly I had so much dust and crap in there that although the phone would charge it was messing with the Apple car play as it had too much wiggle and wouldn’t connect properly. this seems to work for me, hopefully this helps.
  2. Hi, do you get the clicking when you have the indicator on? I had a problem where I got a loud clicking when indicator is on and turn the steering wheel, was worse when full lock the steering wheel. Audi repaired it under warranty, apparently it was something to do with a ring/seal for the air bag in the steering column as they are connected. It fixed for a while but came back so assume it will keep failing
  3. Audi A4 Climatronic Change I found this video which may be useful on removing the trim etc
  4. Hi Tim, were you able to switch it without recoding? I have a slightly different issue with mine but might need to replace the whole unit like you. My temperature buttons stopped responding mid journey, it moves and twists fine however both the passenger and driver side temperature controls do not respond, the temp is now permanently stuck on high as it was cold this morning haha. All the other buttons work fine just can’t change the temperature. When I return home I will plug in and check for any codes first.
  5. Hello Stevey Thanks for the reply, my apologies for the late response. Makes sense regarding the EGR when doing a regen. I still have the noise very annoying. Since the noise stops when doing the regen this makes me think that there could be an issue with the fuel trims, injectors or something related. I have OBDeleven, no faults on the engine scan. I had the EGR cooler and valve replaced earlier this year but the noise also happened before this. could it be the S tronic unit? It’s booked in for a service next week. Cam belt also needs changing soon.
  6. Hello everyone, I’m hoping I can get some advice on this issue, been happening for a while now. A4 65 2.0 TDI quattro S tronic, currently at 71,000. when accelerating usually between 3rd and 5th gear there is a knocking/fluttering noise coming from the engine. Tends to be worse going up hill. I initially thought it was the octane rating, switched to v-power, did not solve, I use arch oil in every tank which helps but not solved. cam belt is due a change, could this be the issue? I’m hoping it’s not an issue with injectors? a strange thing I have noticed is the car is brilliant to drive when it is doing a regen, no noise when accelerating, car is smooth to drive feels like new. I assume this from the extra diesel being used which is making me think there is an issue with the fuel injection or ratio which could cause the knocking on acceleration. any help would be appreciated!
  7. Hi guys, been a busy year so far not had chance to update on the situation. In the end the EGR cooler was the problem, had it replaced and problem has been resolved with no re-occurrence since beginning of Feb. independent specialist did the job and took about 3 days in total, cost around £1200 with the labour and vat, labour was around half the cost. hope this helps someone else in the future
  8. Hi guys, did anyone resolve this? Had the EML on and off every 2/3 days for about a month and a half now same P2002 code. Audi A4 2L Quattro 2016. After reading many posts and forums it seems like it’s either the EGR cooler or potentially the Differential pressure sensor if you’re lucky. I saw on Ross wiki that it could also be the MAP sensor?
  9. Hi guys, Would appreciate any help with this, I'm trying to do things on my own as the only way to learn is to do it yourself (hopefully with the guidance of your experience). I want to try out the EGR cleaning sprays which might help clear some of the crap out, or it may not but I thought it might be worth giving it a shot. I understand that you need to spray this in short bursts through the air intake pipe whilst the engine is idling. I think I have located the air intake pipe but wonder which part I should unclip and spray the cleaner through. I dont want to spray it down the wrong part and damage something else. I have attached a picture which I have circled and numbered 1 and 2. It looks like the MAF sensor might be connected to the one labelled 1 . If you could help or offer any advice around doing this that would be great!
  10. Hi Michael, Apologies for the late reply, thanks for the help with the sensors. I'm yet to change the DPS but now I have a few places to order the part from it will make the job easier. Once again thanks for the advice and help!
  11. Hi Gareth, Thankyou for the quick response! Perfect that's a great bit of information to know going forward regarding the letter being the latest version of the same part. I intend to purchase a genuine VW part but I believe you can buy Bosch parts that work too? so far I have managed to find it on LLL parts here is the link VW/Audi Particulate Filter Sensor - Genuine VW/Audi 03L906051D . Do you have any suggestions on this? or do you know of any reliable places I could order the genuine part from? Many thanks, Lewis
  12. Hi guys, First time posting to this forum so would appreciate any help or advice I can get. I have the P2002 DPF code and an engine warning light, looking to replace the sensor first before anything else as I understand repairs can be costly so want to rule out the sensor before getting the EGR or DPF changed. I have the code for the sensor which is 03L906051B however I can only find 03L906051D online, I read somewhere that this is the newer version of the part but wanted to make sure this would work on my car before I purchase the part. The other codes seem to be slightly different on the sensors too, would this matter? My car is a 65 plate so I have the newer shape and design compared the 2015 A4. I have attached some pictures too. Many thanks in advance
