Are the seats in an A6 saloon with fold down rear set up compatible with the A6Allroad. Both front and back. Mine are tan atm but thinking of changing to black. Thanks Renato

Hi there everyone. I've got a 2011 allroad and not sure what my issue is with the suspension setting. On all heights except comfort, my suspension is perfect. On same settings in jacking mode, the same. But in comfort mode overnight it goes down and in comfort mode, jacking mode it goes down all so. Bags OK, no leaks etc so could it be a fault in mmi. Thanks Renato

Thanks for the advice and if it stays working I'll go for something more permanent, even spray grease. Thanks Renato

Hi there everyone. Since I have wd, d the rear sensors, both sides of rear suspension staying up.. Hope that's cured the problem. Thanks Renato

Hi Gareth.. Just an update on the rear suspension issue.. Yesterday I took off both back wheels which is normal for me when I get a new car.. It's more to do with being sure and able to get them off in case of a puncture. While they were off I was squirting HRP foam spray looking for any possible leaks.. While in the area I also gave a good squirt to both of the rear levellers.. This morning, whilst in jacking mode, everything was nice and level and at correct height.. If the rear levellers were not functioning correctly, would that be a cause of the suspension dropping. If in jacking mode and no corners dropping does that indicate no leaks.. Thanks Renato

I'm on it. Thanks Renato

Thanks for the reply Gareth but the car didn't come with the handbook. Thanks Renato

It's done it again, last night I left the car parked on level ground and this morning the rear suspension was still at its normal height. Went to the shops, came back, parked up and now starting to go down..

Thanks for the reply mate.

Hi there. My problem is that sometimes my rear suspension drops then when it's restored to correct height will stay up for days at a time. Anyone got any ideas what's wrong. Thanks Renato

What causes a6 allroad rear suspension to sometimes drop but usually stays up.

Thanks Gareth but,, the next day I took it to work and parked on the path. End of shift everything as it should.. The day after and up to now 18th everything still up as normal.. No idea what happened few days ago but everything being left as is. Thanks Renato Newcastle

Hi there everyone. Just p/exxed a c350 2010 cdi for an A6Allroad 3.0tdi 2011. Been after one for a while but finally got one. I've had a couple of A8 s and aware of some issues with the suspension problems but overall, the excellent ride is worth the perseverance. First morning I went to work and after finishing 9 hours later I came out to see the rear down, both sides but the front still up. After start up it went up no problem. Next morning the same thing. However, at work I parked on the path with right front and rear wheels on the kerb and when shift finished, the rear suspension both sides was up as normal and just fine. I suspect a leak somewhere in the airline supplying from the front to the rear where it splits to feed both rears but I'd be grateful for any further advice before setting out with my spray foam can. BTW, nothing coming up on the dash regarding compressor issues. Thanks Renato

Nothing ventured nothing gained apart from other prospective buyers on this site.

. The £160 was the cost of the remanufactured strut. When you purchase a purportedly good remanufactured strut you have to put a certain amount of faith in who is doing the remanufacturing. In my case for £80, I now have the chance to try and find out what the problem is. In my view if I can find out and fix the problem I'm up a perfectly good strut. I can't lose really as the old strut with a new olive solved the problem anyway because now the suspension is fine.

Right lads an update on the remanufactured strut. The garage I used took off the old strut and put on the new one. It didn't work. They call me to say the compressor was heating up and the strut was failing to rise. This garage services range rovers and other air suspension cars so they know all about jacking modes etc. Result was good and bad. The bad was that the strut wouldnt work so to check, they put the old one back on remembering that it only had a minute leak. The good news is that now the old strut functions 100% correctly. I can only assume that the air pipe within the olive had a small crack and when they replaced it with a new olive and cutting the pipe back it sealed itself effectively. That's not the end. I informed the company I bought the strut from and they offered me my money back. I thought for what I'd paid for it I'd prefer another strut. They didn't gave another one so they offered me half the money £80 and keep the strut. I have agreed to this and will take the remanufactured strut apart and see if I can find out what the problem was and hopefully, solve it then I might end up with a good relatively new strut.

Aye will do. I'm not a mechanic but they don't look that difficult to fit. Has anyone fitted one recently. Thanks Renato

As I said I would, pictures of front suspension strut, how it was packaged, delivered and couple of pictures of attached parts eg residual valve, new aluminium bottle and the top electric connections. So far, so good. I'll have that fitted during the next week and hopefully it performs as good as it looks. Thanks for looking Renato

I will be posting pictures from the packaging to on the car before and after fitting.

The companies are called, Topmaster - Autoparts and the other is Big time - Autoparts. Addresses no idea but they're both on ebay. Thanks Renato
