  1. Good morning Cliff and Gareth, Thank you again for both your feedback. There are no records when the cam belt was done, and looking into it, it says the seller may have paper work or if not there is no real way of knowing. Considering there was only one previous owner from new, this will be something I will look to do. Cliff, yes she will be woken up with the motorway driving, I do each day, so will make sure it well maintained. I will definitely check other dealerships, and other reputable independents for prices. Gareth, I hear what you are saying about the price I was given, and I know that is going to be my price as they inspected the car and I think I found a good specialist after following the advice on this forum. Yes, I will get a dash reminder when the service is due, as well as oil inspection. I will also take Cliff's advice and get quotes. Kind Regards Deborah
  2. Hello All, I appreciate all the help and advice I have received since posting, it has really helped me. My new car is a 2018 model and the independent specialist advised 5 years. I do around 80 miles a day to and from work, so will look at changing next year as advised, I was quoted £615 for Cam belt and water pump, so will also enquire re the auxiliary belt too so thanks. I didn't get to speak to the technician this time, just given the details, but on my previous visit he did speak to me, but any questions I would make a point to get my answers straight from the technician. Kind Regards Deborah
  3. Good afternoon Gareth and Cliff, Just to update you, I the new car drives really well, and has been fully inspected by the specialist, they said the engine is very clean and couldn't find any faults so no issues to report. Overall a good deal so I am very happy. The question raised about the cam belt though is as the car is on 38000 miles and haven't had a cam belt change yet, when does it need to be changed, 5years? as research shows this may change to 10years Kind Regards Deborah
  4. Hello Gareth, Thank you and wasn't sure I could do that beforehand, and once I get the car I do have 30 days, but thanks I will let you know Kind Regards Deborah
  5. Hello Gareth, Thank you and that was the plan for when I took ownership, as already spoke to the specialist. I am disappointed I haven't got the car yet, but will keep you posted on the outcome. Kind Regards Deborah
  6. Hello Gareth, Thank you and noI don't know, I also have not got the car yet, as they are replacing the rear wiper motor as it stopped working so they ordered a new one and looks like Monday or Tuesday before I collect the car now, which was disappointing, I guess at least they found it and getting it replaced Kind Regards Deborah
  7. Hello Gareth, Thank you and yes, and that's a question, as the garage said he only took ownership of the car six weeks prior to me viewing it on 18th December. I have already made arrangements with the independent specialist to give it the once over, so will let you know the outcome. Kind Regards Deborah
  8. Hello Gareth, Forgot to mention it also states AA Aproved Kind Regards Deborah
  9. Good morning Cliff and Gareth, Thank you both for your feedback. Gareth, Thank you and yes, I think I have checked all your recommendations. I had a look at a few and found another A3, in Gillingham so not too far from Andover. On checking on DVLA nothing coming back to say it had any issues and MOT going back as far as 2020 shows passes every time. I have test drove it and it drives nice. I made the deal and will be picking the car up on 6th Jan and already asked the specialist who I found in Andover who looked at my current car, to check it over. I checked DVLA and the car has now been MOTd as this was to be done with the service. The car reg is FJ18VNL Kind Regards Deborah
  10. Good morning Cliff and Gareth, Just want to say thank you for you advice on this topic, it really helped. I have made the decision to trade in the car as can't keep paying out, as getting one thing sorted leads onto still needing more work, so getting a new used car, and will be another Audi A3. Again thank you both for your help and advice. Have a great New Year Kind Regards Deborah
  11. Hello Gareth, No problems about asking hope my feedback helps Kind Regards Deborah
  12. Hello Gareth, Yes coded whilst I waited at the specialist garage, who has been great Kind Regards Deborah
  13. Hello Cliff and Gareth, Thank you both for your feedback, and Cliff yes I was surprised with 9yrs for the Old one too. Gareth, I have checked the new battery and it is a Bosh S5 A08 12v 70Ah 760A (EN) Kind Regards Deborah
  14. Good morning, Just to hpdate you following the research and because the error code gave 27277 System voltage P0562 00 (062) - Too Low Intermittent- Not Confirmed- Testest Since Memory Cleared It was advised the first recommendation was the battery, so yest I invested in one which the specialist purchased, got it fitted and coded. Advised the current battery was 9years old, so could have been a factor. The test was if it would start the next day. Unfortunately same thing. So back to finding what's wrong. I did have a question though when error print out said "Intermittent-Not Confirmed-Tested Since Last Memory Cleared" as the dealership was the only place I took it. Sorry this was not a happy ending yet Kind Regards Deborah
  15. Good evening Cliff, Thank you and yes I will definitely let you know when I know. Kind Regards Deborah
  16. Good evening, Took the Audi to the specialist today, on the diagnostic and 10 to 15 minutes advised there was an error code and the issue is to do with the fuel sensor, apparently if it is a degree over then it over compensates the fuel causing the laboring and juddering at first start up, now just waiting on the outcome to fix as the technician wanted to research before calling with the final outcome. I am so greatful you suggested going to a specialist. I do find it odd though that the dealership never picked up on the error. I will check in again when know the final fix. Kind Regards Deborah

I will also keep your suggestion in mind re finding a diesel specialist. Thanks I will update the outcome Monday. Kind Regards Deborah

  19. Hello Cliff, Thank you for your feedback it is very much appreciated, as feel like I am expected to keep throwing money at it to find the cause. I will go independent VAG as suggested and thank you for your advice.
  20. Hi, I have an Audi 1.6 TDI Ultra 2015 and only over the last 5 weeks, now it's starting to get colder I am getting an issue on start up the engin labors, when starting to drive it would judder and when giving it more acceleration it would then, drive fine with no further issues. I took it to the dealer who put it on the diagnostic but changed the oil and fuel filters. I have seen a big difference with the judder as that is not as bad, but the laboring is still a big problem, only now when I start up in the morning it still labors but if I give it a few revs it is then fine and have no further issues with it. Suggestion from the dealer is take it back and it can go on the diagnostic, could do run cleaner though it with a magnet to see if there are any metal shavings, if so will need a new fuel system. I am really desperate to get this fixed any ideas
