Petrol E5 or E10. Any downsides?Upsides? Discuss.
I accidentally filled up with E5 and I didn't need to refuel for 460 miles. Went back to E10 and it went back to more normal 380 miles. That's why I was wondering.

Subject pretty much says it all. Does it make a difference on maintenance and longevity using E5? Or sticking with E10?

Why does my fuel gauge lie to me?
Oops. I meant to put E10 as that's plain unleaded. I did discover by accident that if I filled up with E5 (super unleaded) I got more miles. 460 miles I think, was the record. I just have to work out if the extra miles are worth the extra cost.

Why does my fuel gauge lie to me?
I was thinking about this whilst filling up with E5 today. It shows me 575miles when the most I can get out of the car is 380 miles. Why does it lie? Is there a way to squeeze these mythical extra miles out of it? Thanks:)

TPMS valve stems and Ring RTC6000 air compressor
Hi Gareth 😆😆😆 Don't I know it! Got it, thanks. I'll pick one up soon. Thanks, Alex

TPMS valve stems and Ring RTC6000 air compressor
Neat solution! Is it this one: https://www.halfords.com/tools/garage-equipment/breakdown-essentials/halfords-digital-tyre-pressure-gauge-944827.html ?

TPMS valve stems and Ring RTC6000 air compressor
Hi chaps I'm hoping some of you chaps might have some solutions to my issue. I have a Ring RTC6000 air compressor that I use to set the tyre pressures. This worked perfectly until I had Advanced TPMS fitted to the car a few months ago. It seems the valve on the air compressor is that little bit too short as when I put air into the tyres and then unscrew it, air leaks out too quickly to complete the unscrewing action resulting in slightly too low tyre pressures - should be 36psi on front and 32psi at rear but when I do this, and then check the Advanced TPMS pressures, they are at 32psi front and 30psi at rear, not what I wanted to see! I've had a look at the TPMS valve stems and compared to a normal tyre valve stem they're quite short which might be the problem. Has anyone ever come across this issue and if so, was there a solution? Thanks, Alex

Ceramic coating?
thanks, so not worth it. It's only a tiny dint on the side. At least I now have dashcam, front and rear for the next time!

Ceramic coating?
Some ****** threw a stone at my A5 the other day just because they didn't like my music. Would a ceramic coating mitigate that kind of damage to my car?

Rear wiper issues
Yep, penny pinching caused this issue. Old Audis don't have this issue as they're exceptionally well designed.

Driving in windy conditions
Yup, did that a few months ago. Much better.

Which of the new Audi A5 models feature MHEV ?
Bought myself one of these, 2.0 (150ps) a few months ago, and I think they're quite nice. It's not a real electric motor like on an hybrid, it's inside the starter motor/alternator and does indeed gives a nice boost. It's at its best during traffic jams. They've improved on that for 2025+ onwards. It becomes MHEV plus.

Driving in windy conditions
Hmm. I had the rear shocks and coils replaced a few weeks ago. Much better at the rear, but not that much better at the front. I've played with tyre pressures, lowering them to a smoother ride, but that made little difference to the body roll at the front. Could it be a bad sway bar or something? Thanks, Alex

I might get an A5 next time around.
