  1. Approx 1k miles, stil not dropped yet. Impressed. My old BMW would be nagging me to add a litre at that point 😄
  2. That makes a lot of sense .. so I don't really need to turn it off on start. Thanks.
  3. Yep filled up this morning. 35 litres (7.5 gallons), and as the gauge was just at the reserve mark, that's 10 litres in reserve so the average is 46 mpg. Or 10 miles / litre. Why does the specs say 577 miles per tank though.

  5. I filled up the tank when I purchased it. I came home yesterday with the fuel gauge resting on the mark where reserve kicks in. the trip computer shows 350 miles have passed. Roads have been 60% mix between motorways and 40% on small roads. Is that normal? I'll fill up again soon and reset the trip computer and see what happens. Thanks.
  6. I haven't been able to find anything in the manuals about CoD. Does it actually show anything on the MMI or in driver information panel on the dash when CoD kicks in? I thought if I turn off stop/start when starting from cold it might be easier on the engine until it warms up and then enable stop/start. Does that makes sense?
  7. 350 miles and the level still hasn't dropped yet. I'll check again soon.
  8. When it gets half way between 1 and 2, how much needs to be put back in? Thanks for the advice! Alex
  9. Reading the handbook on checking oil level and I think it is a bit confusing. It says there are two places on the dip stick - 1 and 2. 2 is full (towards the top) and bottom is 1. Am I right in thinking that when it reaches 1 it only needs 0.5 litre of oil putting in? What oil is recommended for a 1.4 TFSI CoD car? 5W-30W? Thanks.
  10. I might go with Continental Contact 6s. Expensive but very good. Thanks to all for the comments.

    A1 tyres

I just bought an 2016 Audi A1 1.4 CoD TFSI hatch back a few weeks ago. Lovely car, but I was astonished to discover that whilst they are all the same size (215/40R17), they are all from different manufacturers! One was Goodyear, one was "Infinity" whatever the *** that is, "Winda" (??), and the other was "Farroad". 😲 Any recommendations for decent tyres I could re-shoe the car with? Many thanks, Alex
