Flute whistle from after replacing PCV valve
So changed oil and filter just now. Sump is bone dry. No loss of revs removing oil filler cap with engine running. No engine management lights Scanned with VCDS nothing untoward there (couple of none related faults) No smoke from exhaust Ive manged to source an OEM valve which should be here within a few days as apposed to the 10 days from Audi UK Watch this space as they say .

Flute whistle from after replacing PCV valve
Im on 125k miles. Ive put 20k on it in 2.5 years. More or less resigned myself to the fact its the rings but obviously im trying the cheap fix first. Im due an oil change so ill see if theres any leaks from the sump... its been bone dry the last couple ive done.

Flute whistle from after replacing PCV valve
Im not sure steve, it was just a direct replacement. Im thinking of putting the original valve back in until Audi can get me an OEM replacement.

Flute whistle from after replacing PCV valve
2012, 1.4 tfsi Im topping up the oil more than i used too...seemingly a common issue with these engines . To start with, its worth replacing the PCV valve apparently. In the absence of Audi UK not having stock i opted for an unbranded aftermarket replacement. On reaching home after my commute this evening, i noticed a flute like noise coming from the valve/hose?! Ive attached a short video clip ... any suggestions? Thanks in advance

When you say “large boxes” are you referring to the sections on either side, behind the grey panels?

Sorry can’t help with op question but , does this function work based on electronically reading the cars speed or is there something in the car which picks up the actual noise level in the cabin ?

Front and rear washers not working
Neither front or rear washers are working. cant hear motors operating. Both front and rear wipers are working. Any ideas chaps? picture one shows "fuse" location picture 2 confirms this is windscreen washer system picture 3 is my actual fuse box with "fuse" identified according to my handbook picture 4 is the actual "fuse" which is a strange looking thing and as far as i can tell, appears to be intact
