  1. Glad it is now sorted. Shame about the annual subscription if you did not need that. £140 for the diagnostic is steep, but I assume standard price by main dealer. The time it takes them to update the software and firmware is not insignificant, it boggles me why, but mine took an age as well. Luckily mine was authorised used, and I made it a condition of purchase. The sales lady did try and check with the garage and the garage incorrectly told her was on the latest s/w. It was not, I was on a "current" software, probably like yours, so old, but not out of date and still in service, so they do not update those versions unless they have to, as it is such a pain. So in my case the update was a free update, but I saw the hours they billed Audi warranty! Note I have paid for an annual map subscription, as I quite like the live traffic. I have a HUD, and though Waze is better in town, the Audi data is fine on A-roads and I like the directions in the HUD. You can have carplay in centre screen with a mini Waze screen to alert you for police and cameras.
  2. So that is new enough to work, though there is a newer version still 3620 which should work with your car, so you could try and convince the garage to update you to that. If you have the subscription, that means that the Audi digital team will be keen to support you, so you do not request a refund. Has the map updated to recent one? Mine is now on Jan 2025, but even a late 2024 would show you it is updating and your subscription working. BTW, have you done a basic reboot? use a two fingers tap on the very top right of the screen to access the engineering menu. For there reboot the MMI.
  3. I have a 2021 plate B9.5. Sat nav works without subscription, the sub gives you things and live traffic and Google places search (as used in Google Mas_. I like the Audi nav in the virtual cockpit (and in the HUD). We then put Waze on the middle unit for accident/police/camera warnings. 1 - First reboot the MMI. Then we start the longer fault finding. 2 - To help, post the version of your MMI software and the version of your current maps database.
  4. Marvin, you probably only have wired Carplay, so the option only shows when phone plugged. Also nice to either say you or introduce yourself on first post. On BT, music, calls, etc works via car's MMI, but your carplay probably is USB only.
  5. Yeah I already reached out to Opie and they suggested some oils (interestingly their website engine did not have details, but their support was good). But my question remains, as it was not what is the right oil for my car, but where is the information. I find it odd that Audi UK do not routinely put the information somewhere for the driver to find. Looking at US forums you can see that they have the information under the bonnet.
  6. Hi Gareth, You'll note that I checked the owners manual, but it does not definitely say, hence the question. (you'll also note that I used both terms 😉)
  7. Hello, Can anyone confirm where their sticker is for this vehicle type? I know that it is common to find under the hood. Either on the radiator cover, or on the underneath of the bonnet. I also checked the fuel sticker. In the manual it only says in a cryptic way that you should check with your dealer, or otherwise you can top up 1ltr of 504 or 508 in an emergency. I had assumed the EA888 Gen3B would be 0w20 only, but 504 would suggest otherwise.
  8. As they are not torque converting automatics, but are automated (dual) clutch based cars, do we still expect a hit vs manual?
  9. The 10th letter of your VIN is supposed to tell you year of manufacture. In my case the 10th letter is an L, suggesting 2020. However the Build info says 2019... https://www.alldata.com/us/en/support/repair-collision/article/vin-to-year-chart https://www.webuyanycar.com/free-car-check/what-year-is-my-car/
  10. We have B9.5 S-line on 19" wheels (A5 mind you). Yes it is firm but looks amazing and I think I notice the ride more than my wife. The flat bottom wheel etc. also look great.
  11. Yep that was the date I was after and yes they sent me one for my car. Date was Nov 2019. From the earlier discussion we (you guys) seem to think the 2021 registration date is not too unusual a gap from build to registration. So how does VIN work, if the sticker in the car and the build record show 2019, how is the VIN showing 2020 "L"?
  12. So the challenge of being in London is that there maybe showrooms, but a local parts window might be harder to find. I got a report like this attached via a contact for my vehicle. Is that what would be covered by a build record, or would I get even more detail? WAUZZZ4E35N013100.pdf
  13. On a good run including a good chunk of motorway and country lane driving, before back into the city my 40 TFSI can get 45mpg. That same route with more traffic in places and a heavier foot in others still is almost 40 mpg. In traffic at crawling speed which we suffer often, it can be below 20 on a short drive. What are you getting?
  14. Hello, Does anyone else find the traffic sign recognition data (camera and maps) does a poor job of maintaining 20mph as the speed limit and often defaults to 30mph until it next sees a clear sign?
  15. The franchise dealer I bought from is a chain, the car was in Scotland and they had a branch ~30 miles from me. So close enough to buy from but not close enough to pop over to. I could ask another Audi dealer's parts dept closer to me, will investigate.
