  1. At least I have a stumpy knob to shift!
  2. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_transmission#P%E2%80%93R%E2%80%93N%E2%80%93D%E2%80%93L_positions But.. Who knew! I have always pushed forward for reverse.
  3. I argued, and at £40 it ended up cheaper than Kwik Fit would have been! Check your T&Cs - my contract has a list of exclusions (gear box oil, spark plugs, etc) - but not brake fluid.
  4. It was included with the car, along with an extra year on the warranty. So don't know, sorry. 😀 £256 seems a great price for two services though!
  5. Dealership kindly agreed to do my brake fluid service for half price. So all good now, thanks to all who replied.
  6. Thanks Gareth, The car is currently on the flexible extended service schedule - mainly because they did a 'minor' service at 9 months before I took ownership. Car is now 2 years old and I plan to service now and annually from here so will ask them to change to fixed schedule. That way it will align with MOT in future years. Still not decided about brake fluid service this time.
  7. Service plan covers two services. Currently around 5000 miles pa, aiming for annual service (to align with MOT in future years). Plan to keep car for 7-10 years. Thanks.
  8. I have a 2 year Audi service plan I received with my 1 year old S3 last year. First service under the plan is due, and the dealership tells me that a brake fluid service is recommended by Audi but not covered under the plan. I don't see this called out as an exclusion in the contract I recieved. Surely that can't be right?
  9. My music library is 2600 tracks fits on 32Gbyte. I assume you can copy from your iPod? I'm not part of the Apple ecosystem so don't know how that works.
  10. Can you copy your music onto a USB stick and use the media player on the MMI? That's what my partner does. Personally I use my phone and Android Auto.
  11. A quick update on this. After 10 minutes/2%, I gave up that attempt. Switched off the ignition and locked up, but left the USB stick in the slot. Next day I started the car and noted that the install was now at 30%! I'm guessing the install continues until the car shuts down completely. Anyway, the install resumed (nice!) and completed during a 40 minute or so drive. Hope others might find this useful.
  12. Good feedback folks. Think I'll take a drive to install the update!
  13. In the MyAudi app I had a notification of an update for maps and driver assistance systems. The file is 02A00042.zip - 29GB. I popped on to a 54G stick and popped it in the car. After 10mins it was at 2%! Is the install time linear does anyone know? I switched the ignition off - hope that does mean I have bricked the car. 😀
  14. I'm Android too. Car is petrol, and no indication that it's charging though. And no hazard lights issue that I'm aware of it noticed.
