Thanks, yes a bit odd because I picked up my Q3 on 19th July but maybe 4142 is not necessarily the previous version to yours but maybe the latest specific to Q3. Who knows? Same MMI version makes sense I suppose.

Hi guys, I have attached photos of the software versions and levels on my Q3. Might be worth you checking to see if yours are the same and report back. It is simply astonishing that this MMI problem seems to be found across a number of Audi models including e-tron and has been around and re surfacing for a number of years. I've looked across a number of online Audi forums today, simply astonishing. What's worse is that there doesn't seem to be an individual Audi support group working on this and us customers often rely upon Dealership technicians to try and diagnose, most of whom come up with different ideas and end up trying to completely reset from Factory defaults to no avail. I haven't yet seen a definitive successful answer to any of the problems described. Most of them seem to think the answer is to wait for the next Software update, which seems to be the common stalling tactic I'm afraid.

Graeme, thanks for all the info, it's all a bit puzzling as to why AUDI can't sort this once and for all. I mean why not make a deal for a complete solution from one of the other VW group companies and dump this inferior version? Anyway, all the best with your new car!

I had a long chat with Post Sales person at Audi yesterday and mine is booked in for 5th August. It would have been this week but I'm busy and need the car this week. I think they're keen because I haven't yet submitted my Purchase Questionnaire, and I said i might have to mark them down a bit in places because I'm not completely satisfied with my purchase.

Graeme, so just to be clear, Radio stations and settings still cleared and reverted to defaults every day or sometimes same day, as before? Interesting, because without a Key user there is no need for MMI to connect to the network and check remote user access rights. Which suggests the bug is not related to LTE signal levels. Or the code is really sloppy and goes through it anyway, which wouldn't surprise me. Oh well, I'm probably overthinking it ...

Has anyone with our problem tried removing the Key User altogether and driving without it? Obv you cannot connect to the car from the app, but all settings should be retained in theory.

Hi Dan. My Q3 had a hardware/software problem maintaining connection to the LTE Audi network and would annoyingly reset the whole MMI at low signal levels. It would lose everything, Radio, phones, Sat Nav for about 10 minutes. Just dead. Usually as I was about to cross the QE2 bridge over the Thames into Kent. No Sat Nav is just what you want when entering one of the busiest parts of the M25! It was solved by replacing the car's MMI computer and latest software ... under warranty of course. But they wouldn't tell me further details. The q2 problem, very similar to this one, was solved by a lot of my time talking to, and performing tests for, Audi Connect Support in Germany who produced a Software update for my dealer to install. Worked fine after that. Again no further details.

I'm just joining you guys here with exactly the same MMI fault on my brand new Q3 Sport. Very frustrating and I have mine booked into the dealership next Monday for a diagnosis. I don't expect a quick resolution but it gets me on the trail, hopefully. I must be a glutton for punishment as I had very similar MMI issues with my previous new Q3 in 2021 and new Q2 before that in 2018. Audi did sort out my previous issues but it took some time, couple of months, for each to get resolved. Once sorted, they remained fine and stable. Best to concentrate on this current issue though. I hope one of us gets some useful leads from our dealings with Audi on this, and can help out the others. This MUST be a widespread issue, but it's amazing that there must be a lot of people who have it and just live with it ... Why?
