  1. When I got the car I got a stage one map put on it straight away by Celtic tuning. they did this on my drive. I’ve never been a believer of tuning cars without it going on a rolling road. this is something I’ve always done with my bikes as I always took them on the drag strip. but im quite happy to have a pre-configured map for my car for now. The extra power is nice but im more happier that it isn’t running lean as hell. haven’t checked the plugs to see how badly sutted up the plugs might be now though 😂 added an MST induction kit - love the sound of the turbo now 😈 and also an intercooler from Darkside Developments. so easy to fit it was ridiculous. the honeycomb grill was a must. I plan on putting the Audi emblem back on the boot lid but undecided whether to put one back on the grill or not. with the OBDEleven I have managed to configure the following: DRL’s front and rear on all the time Deactivated engine turning off everytime I opened the door Lap Timer - why not 🤷🏻‍♂️😂 I quite like the digital oil temp read out that comes with this Audi drive select. I selected race mode. I swear I can notice a better response with this but it could be a load of rubbish and not actually doing anything Enabled rear spoiler - as I fitted one from an RS5 Looking for a twin exhaust and diffuser next 😬 (oh and I tinted the headlights 😅)
  2. I got the dreaded rattle coming from the turbo. after trawling the forums I convinced myself it was the was actuator linkage. And not something more sinister.. ie something rattling in the engine. I had a rattle on deceleration <2K rpm i wasn’t in any rush to replace the turbo so bought the clip that was supposed to cure the rattle. Also I really didn’t want to remove the turbo or the exhaust pipe in order to access the area where the clip needed fitting. i squashed the clip in a vice to ensure it was a tighter fit. Then basically I attached the clip into a socket head (can’t remember the size) with a rubber band. And with a socket extension and a cheap iPhone endoscop, I was able to see and reach right up to the actuator arm linkage behind the headers and slide the clip right on. this cured the rattle but I don’t expect it to last long. Been on a couple of months now and so far so good. so just for info - this clip can be fitted without the need to remove ANYTHING EVGATSAUTO Engine Turbo Clips... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08BPGJJJM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
  3. Thanks mate @Teddynewson im more happier with how cheap I managed to do it after reading on many forums about how many thousands of pounds it costs for the upgrade 😂
  4. Just thought I would share my most recent upgrade to my 2012 B8.5 A5 Coupe. managed to find an RS5 grey boot lid with integrated spoiler form a breakers yard. Got the boot lid, liner and spoiler module for £280 Frustratingly they had chopped the wires near the module so bought the connector from eBay. Along with the centre console spoiler switch and finally the electrical plug for that switch. installing the boot lid was quite simple requiring very little adjustment. wired and spliced in where necessary after getting two quotes at nearly £1K to paint the boot lid I decided to do it myself with rattle cans. I sanded it down.. well keyed up the surface - primed it, painted and lacquered it. Followed by plenty of sanding and polishing. Coded the spoiler to the car with an OBDEleven - what an awesome tool that is!! Gotta say.. I really like the end result. Comes up and down automatically at the relevant speeds too.
