  1. Well I managed to get a new headlamp from Euro parts and there was 20% sale on last weekend. Was £415. TYC brand. Carried out the job today, all went well reused the bulbs and the xenon d5s bulb. The hardest bits were the indicator bulb which just wouldn’t come out and the fog lamp was mega tight. The new connector looked nothing like the old one, new one far less bulky but fitted eventually. Put all back together and to my surprise it all worked !! am dead chuffed with myself
  2. Hello all new owner of a 2016 1.4 tfsi. Had a strange occurrence. Bonnet not being closed fully was showing the door open symbol. But weirdly the windscreen wipers didn’t work only on the automatic settings when the bonnet was not closed right.Just needed a good bonnet slam. The bonnet weighs a ton so I didn’t want to be brutal with it. Just in case anyone else gets this fault
  3. Thank you will get the new one ordered and report back how it all goes
  4. Thanks for the reply I now have the confidence to replace the headlamp myself, and save a few quid too.
  5. I saw a 2019 a4 mhev for sale in Peterborough and it was well cheap at £10,995. It had done 100k miles but couldn’t get any info regarding the mhev system. Must have been a short manufacturing life by Audi. Ended up buying a 65 reg 1.4 tfsi
  6. Hi all Wife has owned this model since new (2015) it’s been a good car. A few of the things we have had to have repaired: water pump leaked 2019 so cam belt done at same time. The airbag light came on late 2018, turned out to be the housing behind the steering wheel. It has a clock spring / ribbon cable that controls the steering wheel buttons. faulty fuel filler flap 2017 done under warranty. done approx 92k miles now plus regular servicing for last 4 years at local specialist. it really is a quality car, I would recommend it
  7. Hi all and thank you for allowing me to join the forum, Wifey is the proud owner of a Q3 and myself an A4. Both superb vehicles. just after a little advice to possibly save me a few quid please Now the Q3 DRL went dim so I replaced the module but the section where the led touches the light diffuser has burnt in all 3 places. So the replacement module hasn’t cured it. I am thinking complete new headlamp. Which I can do myself, just wondering if it is a straight plug in an play unit without having to plug into the obd special software. none available anywhere as second hand so have an thinking a new one from Euro Parts at £530 ish any help most appreciated thank you Jim
