  1. Hi all, I also get that error message. I just ignore it, hasn’t affected anything. But do see your point about raising it to Audi so will make sure I do it with mine. Otherwise car is 3 weeks strong of no resets now, I’m glad our persistent hounding has got us all to finally enjoying our cars! Have a great one all!
  2. Seems like it’s starting to work for everyone now. Great news guys! Glad I found this forum else I probably would have just suffered it and hated the car. Two weeks on and all settings remain, same as you Mick the technician set it up with the key this time where as the sales person didn’t. So it recognises my settings. thanks all
  3. This is my software on my Q2, it’s been two weeks for car and it’s still working great. The speed counter setting will reverse everyday my Audi garage told me. It’s mandatory so if you want that off you have to do it everyday unfortunately
  4. Great news Mick! I logged into my profile and this Wednesday will be two weeks since the reset and everything has been stable. So I’m chuffed that the reset is working! Hope it continues to work for everyone else! Let me know if anyone isn’t sure on what to do and I’ll try note it down as best as I can remember 😊
  5. I reset to factory settings and used pin off the key when setting it up new and that was Wednesday. After numerous days and the car sitting I still have all my settings today. so seems the way forward is to reset everything to new. I’m on 4142 software though so not sure whether it’s only working on that. clearly the more people coming forward they are having to fix it!
  6. No problem, hopefully a reset will work for you aswell! Been In and out the car all day and hasn’t once reset so it’s looking hopeful!
  7. Update - so reset my car Wednesday and got in Thursday morning and all was still there. Came home Thursday lunch and haven’t been in my car until this morning. at first thought it had all reset again.. however my MMI screen took 1 minute to load and when it did it asked to choose my user or a new one so I clicked me as always but then it said something about configuring user settings and then the radio station changed from radio 2 to the one I left it on and all my settings were there that I had done so seems the reset has possibly worked for me. Will see how it goes for the next week but fingers crossed it’s resolved.
  8. When I spoke to my service guy he said that likely an update had come out and my car was stuck on the old one when it got delivered and was missed. By resetting he said it will update to the new system. I have also turned off the car WiFi hotspot as he said that could be what’s struggling and if I have good hotspot myself he said he wouldn’t use the car one and I also had 2 LTE bars when I did the reset. Mick - I would definitely do the reset yourself. I did it myself just with the service guy watching and it was easy and took 5-10 minutes in total

  10. Hi, yes this is what the bulletin my Audi centre was told to do. I never used that scratch card on my key the first time the Audi guy did everything for me, but I did that reset above yesterday with the engineer guy and then re logged into everything but didn’t use the QR I just typed in the vehicle code. Got in my car this morning and everything is the same still which is the first overnight it hasn’t deleted all my settings etc. Will see if it’s the same tomorrow, or whether it was a fluke. maybe worth giving that a try if you haven’t already. If mine fails they have told me to come back and they will book my car in.
  11. So got in this morning, all good. Settings are still as they were yesterday and got all my favourites. Just checked and my software is 4142. will see if this lasts or this morning was a fluke
  12. Yes I agree, I said to them today I’m not happy this is clearly an issue you know about but aren’t telling future customers.. I did see the bulletin on his iPad and it did state just to do this reset which was super easy and took no more than 5 minutes. So I’m sceptical about it working but I shall see tomorrow morning when k get in my car if it’s lost all my favourites again! will come back to you all, my garage made no mention of a December update just said this bulletin sent out 2nd September was the fix… so not sure what’s going on to be honest. keep you all posted tomorrow on how mines going!
  13. Been to my Audi garage today, they had a bulletin with issues of radio settings etc disappearing when you start the engine again. All the engineer guy did was factory reset my MMI.. now I know this has been put in the chat so I’m not holding out much hope that it’s finally fixed.. but I will see tomorrow when I get in the car if it reverts back to new again. Fingers crossed it really was something simple.. otherwise they said they will book the car in and look at it. Will keep you posted
  14. @Snowman what solution did your Audi use? I’m taking my car in tomorrow to give them an earful as they made me out to be going ‘crazy’ that the MMI was deleting my settings and now I’ve found this forum that clearly isn’t the case… sometimes my car is fine and sometimes it isn’t. But we don’t pay this money for a car to not work…
