  1. Sadly there is no chance of a software update allowing a permanent switch off. All new cars sold from July 2024 onwards legally have to have these features enabled everytime you start the car thanks to the EU GSR2 regulations. I now have a routine of disabling stop/start, holding down the lane departure button for 3 seconds and going into the assist menu to disable the speed warning every time I start driving which ironically is a bit distracting.
  2. There was defintiely something weird with the way mine was set up. The 5 vertical buttons were on the left side of the MMI screen and only worked intermitently. It was only when I reset it that they appeared on the right side. Almost as if it was set up for left-hand drive and can't beleive the dealer didn't notice.
  3. I only have the single key user so don't think it's selecting a different user. I'm going to look into rejecting the car as the dealer I bought it from 10 days ago is several hundred miles away so asked me to take it to a local dealer who are booked up until the end of November and even they said they it's unlikely they will be able to do anything since it's software related (!).
  4. When I started the car today, having not drive it at all yesterday, I didn't click 'Continue' after the usual 'Remote access rights' message and the virtual cockpit did display the navigation map as I had left it 2 days ago. 5 mins later, I got the "Audi connect installation: Installation error. Please contact support" message that I sometimes see but all my other settings seemed correct. Then after leaving the car for 10 mins and starting it again, it had reverted back to the date and time for some reason. Also on version 4143 and dealer says that is the latest version.
  5. Does the virtual cockpit now retain the last setting when you restart the car several hours later or go back to the Date and Time?
  6. When I parked mine this afternoon, I had the navigation map showing on the virtual cockpit. About an hour later, I started my car and drove off it was still showing the map however lots of my other settings had reverted and carplay wouldn't connect and I realised it hadn't signed me in. Eventually I managed to sign in and got my settings back but the navigation map switched back to the time and date (as if it had saved that as my default). I don't beleive it's normal that the it should go back to the time and date every time you start the car. Clearly something is wrong and my Mk7 Golf always remembered the what setting I had it on.
  7. My new S3's virtual cockpit doesn't remember which setting it's on. If I select map, it changes to the clock the next time I turn on the igniton. If I select the performance monitors, it changes to lap timer the next time I turn it on. Seems like a software issue.
