  1. If it helps it's the allen key through a hex socket type - allen key to stop strut turning as the nut is unscrewed with the hex socket.
  2. What's mileage? If transmission fluid swap is overdue this may help but won't cure any underlying issue. I would suggest a specialist to advise on the gearbox fault code. You won't be swapping "a" clutch on a DSG auto gearbox if that is the problem 😃
  3. As pretty much a lay person on vehicle problems the biggest flag in your post is the bit about revs increasing but speed not. Sounds a bit gearboxy. Auto or manual? Any codes from diagnostics?
  4. Hi all, Could someone help me with the tool required to remove the nut that holds the bump stop onto the rear shock. Audi S3 8V 2020. I've seen lots of VAG ones offered all of differing sizes. Part number(s) or size(s) greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy
  5. How do you find the res delete? I have a neighbour opposite with a V8 Merc and the one next door has a C43 so I'm unlikely to get noise complaints but just wondered if it would be too much for a daily drive.
  6. It's probably a good idea. If the car was mapped with a stock exhaust and is now breathing differently it may have an adverse effect on the performance. Plus you'll be able to squeeze a few extra hp out if it. 😃
  7. Are you having rolling road remap or off the shelf? i'm very keen to do it myself but am considering upgrading the exhaust after the PPF first.
  8. Mine makes all sorts of odd clunks and whirrs when I switch it off. I think it says in the handbook that it's normal.
  9. Still good so far.
  10. Its a 2020 8v model, gloss black door mirrors Edit. Obviously, that's why it's posted in the 8V category!!
  11. I recently had a pheasant/drivers door mirror interface at speed and am looking to replace the item myself. I have removed the damaged mirror and a number on a QR sticker attached to it is 2030.6314. Does anyone know how to cross reference or decipher this as it doesn't come up on a search and isn't in the format of the door mirror part numbers I have come across. I can get one marked 2030.6316 which looks identical but the devil is in the detail and I've no idea if this will be a suitable replacement. Any suggestions gratefully received. Andy
  12. I replaced like for like Bosch S5 A08. I just changed serial number in VCDS to include the date I swapped it.
  13. So, my horse has drunk the water and I've fitted a new battery . All good so far but saying that I haven't had disco ignition lights for the week prior. I'll update in a month or so, hopefully it's been put to bed. Andy
  14. I didn't refuse to accept it.
  15. I'm a old school "if the battery is knackered the car won't crank" type of guy, but every day is a learning day 😄 I am ordering one tomorrow. Just got the VCDS diagnostic kit so will be attempting the coding too.
