  1. Ah good.....perhaps the wheels are actually in motion then 🤞
  2. Hi folks....been a while. Just wondering if anyone has received an official update for their new 2024 vehicles with the known MMI related issues. Resetting the MMI fixed a lot of the issues for me, but there are still some niggles that were supposed to be getting addressed in a December 2024 software update that Audi now seem to know little about.
  3. That's quite concerning as Audi UK were originally stating December 2024 for the update.
  4. I’m glad to hear you got your replacement. My current faulty software version is also showing as 4143. I'm now in the process of rejecting the car, but I must take the car in for a diagnostics scan first before Audi will authorise the rejection. No doubt bureaucratic red tape, as they already know that these cars have software related issues. Audi customer relations are still touting out the December 2024 timeline for an official software update.
  5. I completely agree with @tedter77 These cars are not operating as they should. The fact that the Virtual cockpit doesn't revert to the default clock screen all of time, but rather when the car sits for an extended period of time is not 'normal' behavior. One of my friends owns an Audi TT 2023 and his VC settings resume on the last screen he left it on, irrespective of how long the car sits for. We have all be sold a lemon and Audi needs to deal with this in a more timely manner, or at minimum make an official public statement.
  6. I completely agree with GordonP on this. Like he has stated, there are still issues that persist / manifest after the factory reset procedure. I'm at the point now where I'm considering rejecting my car on these grounds, as become a real PITA. I appreciate that some folks are more tolerant to these situations than others, but being in the Software industry myself, this type of thing shouldn't happen. Or at the very least it should be dealt with in a timely manner. Certainly not months down the line when everyone is out of that 30 day return period.
  7. So, after a week or so with no issues, other than than the odd Audi Services installation error now and again, I reckon I've discovered another bug with this MMI software. Out of morbid curiosity I paid for a theme, thinking I'd try out the ambient lighting. Today I started the car to find that the theme had been reset to the default no theme setting. I reckon the software issues on these 2024 cars runs deeper than a few radio favourites being lost. I have been able to re-select my paid theme, but only time will tell how long it sticks. Audi UK are still telling me that a proper software update is due in December to resolve the issues, which is contradictory to the factory reset supposedly being the 'fix'.
  8. I had a similar experience to this. Have you tried a full key cycle? I had to do this to get the system back up and running. Swich the ignition off, get out and lock the car. Now wait a few minutes until the car shuts down completely. Then unlock the doors and start the ignition.
  9. After I posted this question I did find some related posts on another forum from users with the same issue, but I've gotten to the point that I don't care anymore 😀 I can live with having to toggle the display using the steering wheel paddle. It's minor in comparison to losing all the settings in the MMI.
  10. Hi folks, one last question on this. Everything on the MMI now seems to function as it should, thanks to the persistence of the folks on this forum, however I have noticed one thing. Maybe not related, but thought I'd ask. The Audi virtual cockpit settings seem to return to the date and time, irrespective of what I leave them on, Consumption, Trip computer etc. Is this by design, or is this another Software related issue? I thought I saw someone mention this previously in this conversation, however they had the dealer factory reset via the laptop, whereas I did this manually through the MMI using the Key Card as instructed.
  11. Thanks Mick 👍 Good to know I'm not the only one. Now I can just forget about it and enjoy the car.
  12. Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who contributed to finding this fix. I picked up a new A3 Sportback BE two weeks ago and was demented with the constant reset bug, or whatever was up with the MMI. I recently performed a full Factory reset and used the Keycode (card) to set everything back up. So far, everything seems to be working as expected. One observation I have is that I occasionally get an error "Audi Connect Services Installation Error Contact Support", but as far as I can tell everything works as it should. Licenses are valid and News, Weather etc all work fine, plus I'm retaining all my Radio and SONOS settings. Anyone got any idea what this error may be in relation to, or is anyone else getting this error? Thanks Gordon
