Hi Steve. There does seem to be something going on when you hit the key. I wondered if the starter was spinning but not engaging with the flywheel but it's impossible to actually see anything as I'm sure you know. The fact that the lights and stereo were staying on when it didn't crank but would be interrupted when it did turn over made be me think something electrical. Not sure how to see what the immobilizer is doing, I've only got a basic OBD2 reader and I'm not sure it give that level of info, and with cam position sensors. The fact there were no codes I assumed that wasn't a problem but if that's not the case ...
