Hi Peter, ia it something that’s just started or is the car new to you? is it a “going to stall/engine labouring kind of vibrating” or does the whole car shake badly. whats the mileages and service history? Has the gearbox been serviced before? thanks, Dave

Can anyone recommend a good quality screen so I can upgrade and have apple car play. im rather in patient and cannot deal with laggy or slow operating ones and there’s so many on the market. Unfortunately as mines a 14 plate it’s not the one that can have an “upgrade” the whole unit needs to be swapped out thanks, Dave

Hi, have the waterpump and timing belt been changed? What’s the mileage? VAG group are well known for the water pumps failing before the belts and pumps can fail in different ways. failing that I’d recommend getting a live data test done on the injectors, both at idle and during drive and see if any are running lean or rich. Especially considering the cold temps of the diesel in your climate. if one injector is overfueling or underfueling this is likely to cause the engine not to get to temperature.given it’s an older Audi I can assume it has some mileage on it.

I’m inclined to say wishbone area related, I had this one my Leon fr and it was the wishbones (I bought them on AUTODOC and changed myself so cost wasn’t too bad) but it’s an educated guess. beat bet is going to a local garage or something to get it diagnosed as it’ll be a lot less than Audi

Thanks, although other than tinted rear lights and windows, it’s standard 😀 I would like some new alloys though 😂

It does sound more like it’s rubbing, will have a good look tomorrow and see if some silicone grease can solve it! Thanks for the reply!

Hey, 2014 pre facelift Audi A6 Avant Ultra TDI when turning (especially small amounts) the steering wheel squeaks / makes noises. any one else have this? Any easy fixes? Maybe as simple as some lubricant behind the steering wheel? thanks, dave
