Led interior lighting
Audi Owners Club. replied to Jamie1087's topic in Audi Audio / DashCams / Electronics / Security
I have found these links http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A4-S4-RS4/Interior-Lighting/174082 Also, this may have been the one you were looking at. -
Welcome to the Forum How have you enjoyed the Audi over the weekend? Not a clue for the football player is, sorry Cheers Trevor

Hi Ross...welcome to the Forum You could check the wiring to the plug on the Coolant Temperature Sensor as I have found a few with the fault...the wiring tends to break away from the terminal in the connector itself. Worth checking, as it seems to be temperature related. Cheers Trevor

Hi David I'm sure it's just a matter of replacing the head unit and speakers if you want to upgrade, although the new unit will more than likely need programming into the car. Not sure of anyone in your local area who would specialise in Audi audio but hopefully someone on here could? Cheers Trevor

Hi Alan, Unfortunately, I don't own a TT so I wouldn't like to recommend a particular brand to suit the car, e.g. handling characteristics...but if you would like a recommendation as to a brand of tyres that I would be happy to fit to any car then I would definitely recommend Michelin as a decent all-rounder. They also do a really good Winter tyre, especially useful where you are living I imagine? Certainly no good down here is Dorset, can't remember the last time it snowed! Hope someone gets back to you with a definitive answer Cheers Trevor

Can I have missing keys removed from my Audi ??
Audi Owners Club. replied to NmLvsAsd's topic in Audi A4 (B8) Forum
Hi Niall, That is a valid question, and one which I have not really considered before. I suppose if someone still has the other keys for the car and knows where it is located then there wouldn't be a great deal to stop them from taking it. I would contact your local dealer to ask them the question as I don't know whether they have a back door route to clearing the memory of the other keys (would probably involve hooking the car up to the diagnostic platform to erase them from the Body Control system). Let us know how you progress with this one Cheers Trevor -
does it open and close via the internal central locking master switch?

Awaiting delivery of new TT Quattro

Hi Alan...welcome to the Forum I can't imagine what it must be like waiting for a new car to arrive...I think it's just a case of trying not to think about it? Look forward to reading your posts in the future and seeing some piccies of it when it arrives. Cheers Trevor- 1 reply

Hi Ian...welcome to the Forum Sounds like a great car...do you have any piccies of it you can upload? Enjoy! Cheers Trevor

I think I would remove the LED sidelights and fit the standard ones back in just to evaluate whether that is the root cause...worth a try as it's got to be the cheapest route to start

Hi...and welcome to the Forum As for the Style Pack, I think I wouldn't bother with the ambient lighting if it was a substantial cost to have fitted but the other two are essential. Dynamic Pack...I don't think I would compromise on any of the items as they are all essential, once used you'll wonder how you ever got by without them. The same with the Technology Pack as well. Let us know what you decide to keep/bin Cheers Trevor

Struggling to find car part measurements
Audi Owners Club. replied to RedTurboAudiB6's topic in Audi A4 (B6) Forum
Hi Bobby...welcome to the Forum GSF car parts have a look up facility on their website which gives dimensions https://www.gsfcarparts.com/parts/braking/brake-discs-pads/brake-disc You may have to alter the search a little as I guessed a couple of the parameters. Cheers Trevor -
Hi David...welcome to the Forum It should do the job as it works on the same principle (gaps between the teeth) but the only thing that may affect it is the thickness which will alter the gap between the ring and the sensor. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

You are lucky on both counts...having a new R8 to drive and also living in Suffolk as you have great roads there to drive around there, Let's hope there are some members in your area that are interested in setting up a meet but at least you are giving plenty of notice. Let me know if I can be of help in any way. Cheers Trevor

Wow! that certainly is a beauty! It does look amazing and as you say you put your heart and soul into it...gutting! The Audi, I would flush the engine with an additive which you may still be able to get from a motor factors (can't remember the make) but you essentially drain down all the old oil, keep the filter on and then refill with half of the 5 litre container (so approx 2.5 to 3.0 litres of the flush) and run at high idle (approx 1500 rpm) for about 5-10 minutes. After that you drain it out but watch out for extremely hot and thin fluid gushing out of the sump when you take the plug out. This stuff was amazing, cleared out the whole of the engine oil ways, much better than Forte or similar which you just add to the oil. Fuel additives, I tend to favour STP, Wynns or even funnily enough Halfords own brand...which really does the job. Thanks for posting the Mustang piccies up, has brightened my day up. Will have to find some pics of my old 'Stangs but probably have to scan them from old photographs.

Thinking about a V10 manual convertible
Audi Owners Club. replied to R1 GOOD's topic in Audi R8 Club
That's a beautiful car and a Morgan is one of my 'ten preferred cars in my garage' scenario. But I can see that it's just a weekend car and even then probably only in fine weather as well -
I have contacted the company and they say the email was sent in error...wrong recipient. Let me know if you receive any other emails that are of concern from anywhere else. Cheers Trevor
-
If they were open circuit then it would have been a sod to start in the cold....so if its starting easily, its not going to be the glow plugs now. More than likely an injector issue. Would highly recommend using a fuel cleaning additive for several tanks and a good blast to clear the engine through. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Thinking about a V10 manual convertible
Audi Owners Club. replied to R1 GOOD's topic in Audi R8 Club
Hi Ross...welcome to the forum Sounds like it would be great car to take on long journeys but as you say...mpg, availability of premium fuel...all considerations to take into account, but hey, its a V10, go for it! Let us know what you decide Cheers Trevor
