  1. Hi Ben....welcome to the Forum I can't find anything listed for your model as yet so maybe have to wait a short time before someone introduces aftermarket parts for it. Let us know how you get on with modding it over time Cheers Trevor
  2. Hi Mick....welcome to the forum Welcome also to the wonderful world of Audi and their peculiar faults and foibles. I would imagine it has something to do with formatting the card before using but not the expert here...anyone on here know the answer??? Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  3. Could only find these fob parts http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-search-results/A5-S5-RS5/Vehicle_Parts_and_Accessories/131090/key I believe you will need to use VAG COM or similar to reprogramme new/used fob to the car though
  4. Hi...and welcome to the forum! I would personally go for the manual, lot less to go wrong. I would also start with a remap and see what benefits that brings before going to the next level but I would think, intake, exhaust and turbo to take it beyond the remap. Let us know when you get your Audi Cheers Trevor
  5. You could I suppose buy the one with the extra plug and just not use it, or alternatively fit the DRC shocks as it wouldn't take much to do...although they might cost a fortune!
  6. Hi Jay...welcome to the Forum Looking forward to reading your posts / questions on here...feel free to post in anytime. Cheers Trevor
  7. can you hear it from outside as well? I'm thinking it may be an alternator or PAS pump or something else that rotates at engine speed, maybe disconnect various auxiliary belts until the noise disappears.
  8. I believe there are some alarm systems out there with mobile phone alerts but not totally sure which one to recommend. Also, there are small webcam devices that activate with movement and send images to your mobile or tablet...that may be a cheaper and better option?
  9. I don't think the 2.0 TFSi engine will be a problem if you are replacing the pistons but otherwise honing and setting ring gaps should resolve that issue. Weight reduction is always a good thing....I would have to start with myself if I was doing this as I would be a huge weight gain to the vehicle
  10. Hi John...welcome to the Forum Does the sound increase with the engine revs or does it stay constant. Sometimes an alternator with worn bearings will sound like that and increase with revs. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  11. I would think it may need to be recognised by the body control system. Worth dropping it into a specialist Audi repairer to ask them and if so to programme up.
  12. Hi Conrad I've moved your advert to the Cars for Sale section but left a link here so that it may be more noticeable to anyone looking. Cheers Trevor
  13. I can only see Nano grey on the Audi website for the A3 but the images aren't that clear as all the greys looked the same to me, sorry!
  14. Great choice of vehicles there Simon....do you use the A4 Cab in the winter as well? I find the Z3 has a great heater and it's fun to take out on a cold but sunny winters day as long as it's dry
  15. Hi Richard....welcome to the Forum Quite a rare car nowadays! You could try to locate some parts direct from Germany as I would imaging there would still be plenty of parts available over there for the 80. Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi David...welcome to the Forum Wow! you have some great ideas there, costly as well I would think? Keep us posted on your progress as would be interested to see where you go with this. Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi...and welcome to the forum. Could be a faulty Air Mass Meter, worth checking the readings from it to see if that's the cause. Additionally, areas like the EGR valve could be clogged up and its worth running a cleaning additive through the system to ensure it's clear...would improve things all round anyway. Let us know how you get on with it all. Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Marco...welcome to the forum I'm not sure personally, without contacting the person/garage who replaced the engine then I would work on the assumption that it hasn't and replace it as a matter of course. Let us know how you get on and if you find a way of identifying it as being replaced. Cheers Trevor
  19. Hi Shaun...welcome to the Forum I don't think the standard alarm system is up to much regarding movement on the vehicle, I think if someone want's your wheels, they'll have them regardless. Just need to ensure the wheel nuts are anti-theft and clearly display that on the car side window for example. Cheers Trevor
  20. Hi Charlotte...welcome to the Forum Could you post a picture of the prongs up here so we can see them and go from there. Cheers Trevor
  21. I'll start then... Audi A4 for the daily driver...nothing special but does the job BMW Z3...got written off & paid out so owes me nothing so great to keep in the garage and take out on nice days for a spirited drive BMW GS1200 motorbike....for the days when you really need to escape 4 wheel drive campervan (demountable) don't use it as often as I should really Mazda MX5 mk1....just got it back on the road for a track day All the above, I'm sure represent a mid-life crisis....but I'm not complaining
  22. So, what else do you guys also drive or ride ? Any other makes or just Audi ? Anyone ride a Motorbike or drive an interesting 'fun' car ?
  23. Sounds like Power Steering Fluid that the VAG cars use...which is green in colour. I would check the PAS reservoir for correct level and if its dropped that's where its leaking from. Chances are the hose clips just need tightening a bit
  24. Hi Gemma Sad to hear about your Audi, it would have to be one of two things, heat generated through a hot engine or components igniting combustible material or it would otherwise be an electrical fire with enough electrical current (e.g. large wiring, probably straight from a battery feed and not through a fused feed) to generate enough heat to lead to combustion. Either way it needs properly investigating! Has any work been carried out on it in the last few days? Keep us informed as to the outcome. Cheers Trevor
  25. Hi Anthony....welcome to the Forum Welcome also to the wonderful world of Audi ! Feel free to put a review of your Audi on the Drivn website as we're looking to find out what Audi drivers really think of their particular car www.drivn.co.uk Cheers Trevor
