  1. That would be really annoying if it was the valves as head off job to replace them. You should be able to measure the height of the valves compared to the other side (in the closed position) to quickly determine if they are wrong.
  2. Hi Graham...welcome to the forum Hopefully someone will come forward with some info for you shortly Let us know if you find anything suitable yourself, would be interested to know what fits, etc Cheers Trevor
  3. Hi Paul...welcome to the forum I would advise a battery disconnect/reconnect to see if that resets it....just make sure you have all the security codes first. Let us know what you find. Cheers Trevor
  4. Hi Martin Best to review a few piccies on Google as there are many visual differences mainly headlamps, grille, etc. Cheers Trevor
  5. where area are you going to be looking at next?
  6. Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum Have you got a picture of the sun visors that you can post up on here? Cheers Trevor
  7. Hi Alessandro...welcome to the forum Not tried the remap on an Audi so can't comment on the effects but Revo are a very reputable company and generally come highly recommended. Let us know how you get on with your decision Cheers Trevor
  8. Hi I have moved your post to the A8/S8 forum section to see if it gets any responses there and also featured it so it stands out a bit more. Cheers Trevor
  9. Hi TopCat I have always found Michelin to be the best tyres all round but not too sure about how they fair in snow...but looking at it, you have the ideal opportunity to let us know how they get on in the white slushy stuff. Please let us know if you go with the Michelins and how well they cope Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi James...welcome to the Forum Change of make but still sticking to German cars then! You'll have to post up some piccies of it when it arrives Cheers Trevor
  11. Hi Rick...welcome to the Forum That's bad luck with it breaking down....did you buy it from a garage? Think the best thing to do is get it scanned to see what fault codes are in the ECU memory and go from there Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  12. Not sure really, Pistonheads or something similar, maybe? I'm sure it will appeal to anyone who is into Audi Motorsport
  13. Hi Trev I have moved this post into the Parts for Sale section but left a link here as well. Hopefully it should attract any members who are interested in a private plate. Hope you get a quick sale. Cheers Trevor (another one!)
  14. Hi Paul I have moved this post into the Parts for Sale section but left a link here so that it may be viewed by more members. Hope you get a buyer soon! Cheers Trevor
  15. Hi Chris I could only recommend a battery disconnect/reconnect to attempt to reset the system, as doors should unlock if power supply is interrupted....just make sure you have the keys in your hand Let us know when you find the problem as I'm sure someone else may the same issue in the future. Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi Grant I would replace the filter as a matter of course, but also check to see what is left at the bottom of the filter housing and if there's loads of dirty fuel (water content, muck) I would redress it with Asda. Hopefully just refilling with decent fuel and a new filter should do it. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Chris....welcome to the forum Looking forward to seeing the before and after piccies. Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Nick...welcome to the Forum! I have moved this post into the Q5/SQ5 section for others to find it easily but also left a link here as well. Hopefully someone with better knowledge of the specifics of your post can answer it. Cheers Trevor
  19. Never used TEC 2000 so can't comment on that one, sorry
  20. Yes Forte are very good...give it a try
  21. Unlikely to be dirty fuel but I would advise putting quality fuel (BP, Esso, Shell) into the tank for a period as not a lot more expensive than the supermarket fuel at the moment The cleaning additive I would use is either the Halfords own (which works surprisingly well) or something like Wynns or STP where you just add it to the fuel to clean injectors, EGR, etc.
  22. Hi Mark I would suggest it is a faulty sensor or wiring connector attached to it. If the oil level is fine and not too thin (washed down with fuel) then it's worth taking a chance on the sensor. I would certainly get it checked sooner than later just in case. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  23. Hi Mohammed...welcome to the forum! Did the noise start when you had the Hankooks fitted? I have battled with this problem before and it was the tyres...changed them for another brand..sorted! Maybe worth seeing if you can borrow a set of different wheels/tyres for a short period to see if there is any change? Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  24. Hi Rob...I have move this post into Cars for Sale as well as leaving a link here...may help to attract interested parties. By the way...it looks great in that trim! Cheers Trevor
  25. That still could be a clutch fault but worth checking how much the engine moves backwards/forwards as in a faulty engine mount...just a thought
