  1. Looks like a good spec car you have there Paul
  2. Hi Andrew Thanks for your suggestions, some of which are already in existence or in the pipeline. The levels of membership already include a membership card which will in time, offer discounts through Audi dealerships but just not at this present time, as we need more dealerships on board to initially launch this service. However, there are numerous discounts available to Premium Members which include motoring, leisure and a host of other savings to be had. Also, Premium Members receive a Halfords Discount Card which offers 15% off everything instore. Reviews are already in some sections but not all and would always welcome reviews from Members for any services and products relating to Audi and motoring in general. Once again, thank you for your suggestions and they will be taken onboard. Regards, Trevor (Admin)
  3. UPDATE: Just been sent updated Windscreen Passes (as there was a spelling mistake in the previous one)....wouldn't worry if you've already printed it but here is the new one anyway (see attached document) Audi Owners Club.com.pdf
  4. Problem solved.....Edd now has the banner! Don't forget to print out the windscreen passes (see above post) and enjoy the day
  5. Also, I have the Club Banner so if anyone is in the Bournemouth / Ringwood area in the week so that I can pass it on for use on the day ?
  6. Hi all, Here is the link to the latest updated list which should have all your names on it. I have attached the necessary signs to display on your car's dashboard (please see attached file) Please print out a copy and I'm sure someone will have a few spare copies if you don't have a printer. Sorry that Steve or myself cannot attend on the day as it is a thoroughly enjoyable event and great venue. Enjoy the day! Here is some more information that has been forwarded to us by the organisers: Attached is your club label, which needs to be distributed to your members prior to the event. Please ensure that they print this label and display this in their windscreen upon entry to the event, this ensures that all members wishing to park within your club area are directed to the correct parking location. Clubs are encouraged to arrive at the same time, in order to allow our stewards to park your members faster. Please note that club areas will only be reserved until 10am, after this time the area will be released to other participants. Individual club members arriving after 10am are not guaranteed to be able to join their booked club area. Audi Club Owners.com.pdf
  7. Speed limiting technology looks set to become mandatory for all vehicles sold in Europe from 2022, after new rules were provisionally agreed by the EU Do you agree with this or not, will it save lives? Have your say now....vote in the poll
  8. You are right Gareth, they were good cars of the period and by the end of their life as a UK Manufacturer they had just about got there in terms of quality and value. Apart from the K Series Head Gasket debacle and also the inappropriate slating from the media (mainly Top Gear) it went downhill from there really, which was an awful shame.
  9. I owned a garage business specialising in MG Rover (for my sins) and we were an Independent Authorised Repairer which means although we weren't a dealer for new cars we were part of the repair network and also parts supplier. I do wonder if it is a similar case with the Audi repairer....probably all Audi VW trained Technicians anyway
  10. Hi Paul Your Premium Membership automatically changes the level to allow you to access all the discounts and other aspects of the paid membership. you will also receive a Membership Pack through the post sometime this week. Regards, Trevor
  11. Hi Alan Sorry, only just noticed that your post has gone unanswered....been a bit hectic since the start of the year! So glad to hear about the good result from your scan....I have been there myself and it's a bloody hard battle but wonderful when you come out the other side of it...tend to see life differently. Great call on the new Audi as well, feel free to post up a piccy now you've taken delivery of it. Good to have you onboard Cheers . Trevor
  12. Hi Alex.....great idea, I shall place a Calendar on the site shortly. I too shall be attending Le Mans 24 Hours this year (same as the last 13 years in a row) and also Silverstone Classic (great event) SteveQ usually organises the Audi events for the club (Beaulieu, Castle Combe, AITP, and a few others)....pop him a PM and I'm sure he'll be glad of any assistance Look forward to chatting about future events. p.s. I have now added a Calendar in the top menu bar
  13. Glad to hear you're enjoying it and only had a glitch or two. Mapping definitely sounds like the way forward to release a few more ponies.
  14. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forum It looks absolutely amazing condition....you've done a sterling job on it and should be good for many years to come I would imagine. Thank goodness some people are looking after the older classics now, too many prematurely went to the scrapyard in my opinion. Good to have you onboard and thanks for sharing the pics of the 80 with us. Cheers . Trevor
  15. what a beautiful and rare car in superb condition....thanks for sharing it with us
  16. StockB6 . How's it all going with the B6....still enjoying it and sorted all the issues now?
  17. Hi John....welcome to the Forum If you have a comprehensive service history then chances are that any recall work has been carried out by the Dealers already. Quite whether the cam chain or associated components were replaced, you will need to ask the Dealers this question. However, if it has had quality oil used during its life and serviced at the recommended intervals or sooner then there may be less likelihood of premature failure of these components. Worst-case scenario, have the chains replaced before it becomes an issue and at least it will lift the doubt from your mind and it is a good selling point when the time comes. Good to have you onboard Cheers . Trevor
  18. Hi....welcome to the Forum I have moved this post to the A3 8P section where hopefully someone can answer your questions. Cheers . Trevor
  19. Hi Adrian ..... welcome to the Forum Wow....you certainly do like your Audi's ! Would love to see a photo of the GT Coupe if you want to post one up? Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

  22. SQ5_Scott . How's it going with the SQ5....still living the dream?
  23. 4jw . How's life with the S4....still better than the RS4, or not?
  24. Hi Dee I think Gareth has already mentioned the earth connections. If it was me diagnosing it in my workshop and I knew the battery was 100% then I would definitely be placing supplementary earth leads onto the engine to ensure the current has a good chance of flowing through the starter motor and reaching the ancillary components at the same time. Sometimes when you remove and refit gearboxes, earth cables can go back on but not make sufficient effective electrical contact, hence the reason for supplementary cables (jump leads will do) to enhance the chassis earth return. Equally, corrosion can set into loose cables (noticeable by green corrosion (verdigris) deposits around the earth connection points).
