  1. Hi Simon...welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor
  2. Hi Mike....welcome to the Forum I have never heard of a situation like this apart from a limited production run but wouldn't have though that if its in the catalogue it should be available for sale. Only other solution is to look for another Audi model or a very low mileage one. Let us know how you get on with this one Cheers Trevor
  3. Hi Tim...welcome to the Forum Pop up some piccies of your new Audi if you like Cheers Trevor
  4. Hi Jonathan...welcome to the Forum Post up some piccies of the new S3 when you get it Cheers Trevor
  5. Hi Gareth....welcome to the Forum A passion for tarmac-pounding Group B style cars....nice! Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor
  6. Does the front video screen work when the handbrake is applied?
  7. 1. Definitely but doesn't have to be dealer history as long as it is a reputable garage, preferably a VW Audi specialist repairer 2. Nothing wrong with high milers as long as it is 'proper' miles (e.g. used correctly, not smoked around town on short journeys, etc) 3. Aftermarket stereos are far better for functionality that standard fit 4. remaps are okay if the servicing has been carried out and it wasn't owned by a hooligan 5. Not sure, sorry 6. Worth checking the forum posts for further info
  8. Hi Ann...welcome to the Forum Keep us updated on how your purchase goes Cheers Trevor
  9. Hi Sorin....welcome to the Forum I agree with you, unless your commute to work is a worthwhile journey (as in distance and nice roads) and then you have secure parking then maybe the A8 is too good for a commuting car. I'm sure the A6 will be absolutely fine though Keep us updated with your decision Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi Mike These replacement head units are in my mind better than standard fit systems as they encompass all the technology currently available and make it more user friendly. Here are some other options from a company that I have used before http://www.iceboxauto.com/audi As for fitting, sorry can't recommend anyone in your area but they are not overly difficult to fit yourself. Cheers Trevor
  11. Hi Lia...welcome to the Forum I like the emoticon....quite hypnotic to watch lol Cheers Trevor
  12. Looking good, Callum !
  13. Oooh! I like that...very nice
  14. Hi John I have changed your username for you. As for uploading pictures...here's a link to a the gallery http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/gallery/category/1-members-albums-category/ Cheers Trevor
  15. Hi Rhys...welcome to the Forum I would start by placing the car in reverse with the ignition on (engine off). Ensure the handbrake is on fully and go to the back of the car. At this stage, the reverse lights should be on and if you place you ear very close to each reverse sensor, then you should hear a faint clicking noise if it is working correctly. No clicking = sensor has failed. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi Gareth Here is a link to Castrol's Oil selector http://applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/c/search?_ga=1.163141183.2071412661.1488814913 This should give you the exact grade and quantity you need for an oil change...always worth buying a bit more in case of spillage and top up though. The spanner symbol should extinguish if you follow these instructions. http://mr-fix.info/audi-reset-service-reminder-a2-a3-a4-a6-tt/?utm_source=AudiOwnersClub&utm_medium=ForumLinks&utm_campaign=referrals Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Tally I agree with cliffcoggin the list is endless as to where to start....however, the first place I would start is with the throttle sensor but to check this you would need live data running on the VCDS. This should show a linear reading from closed throttle to fully open with no glitches. If the reading does not change then there's your problem. After that I would try measuring fuel pressure and see if there is a problem there. Good luck and let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
  18. As Brad-B5 has mentioned....it is dropping into Limp Home running mode. This is normally when the Turbo variable vanes are gummed up with carbon and moving freely when on boost. The usual method is to clean them with chemicals....there are plenty of posts on this forum relating to cleaning turbo's. I would try that first and save a fortune if it does work
  19. That's where I would start looking then....just in case one wasn't quite on enough or missing a clip, etc
  20. Has the car got Xenon headlamps? If so, the ballast sounds like it is igniting the bulb but when the voltage drops down, the bulb is failing to maintain operation.
  21. Hi Anthony...welcome to the Forum I cannot find any information specifically relating to these codes but it does sound like a software upgrade should sort it. Please let us know how it all goes and particularly what the fault was and how they rectified it. Cheers Trevor
  22. I would say that your suggestion would work as long as you can attach it to the signal wire from the stereo head unit then it should work. It would be worth checking the relay switches over (up / down) by powering up the system while you have it apart
  23. Beautiful car! let's just hope for a good summer now
  24. Ah, if the aerial has gone crazy then chances are it could be something like water ingress which would explain the aerial motor being seized and also with what could be a short circuit affecting the operation. Let us know what you find, always interesting to know the outcome Cheers Trevor
  25. Hi Rob....welcome to the Forum As Bradley has suggested, you can post up a 'Wanted' thread here and see if anyone responds to it. http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/forum/42-audi-cars-for-sale-and-wanted/ Cheers Trevor
