  1. I hardwired it with a kit you can get from Nextbase which just plugs into the Fusebox....so ignition fed supply
  2. Usually go with mates to the races but have to take the girlfriend to at least one...this year its Monza Portugal is lovely....great people and food...and drink :-)
  3. It's not unknown for some Audi's to suddenly catch fire....look at posts in Recalls section of this forum for more info
  4. some good options there Darren....some of them aren't cheap though :-(
  5. I have a Nextbase 412GW Dashcam...which is superb and hopefully won't need to use it in anger https://www.nextbase.co.uk/dashcams/412gw-dash-cam/ I think it is something that everyone needs as an insurance more than anything else. Also very handy to monitor your own driving as well, tend to drive slower/sensible knowing it is recording my driving as well as everyone else.
  6. Just the usual...following the WEC around European race tracks (Le Mans, Nurburgring, Monza, Spa). Where abouts in Portugal do you go to?
  7. HALOGEN BULB XENON BULB
  8. I believe there is a post thread within this forum by a member who had a similar problem...worth searching through the posts to see what the was the cause.
  9. Hi Richard....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor
  10. I would imagine it would be easy to see any damaged bracketry and you would only be doing what a bodyshop would do by removing panels, etc. How you then rectify any damage once you're in there (depending on what you find) is another matter though. Good luck and please keep us updated (especially with photos) Cheers, Trevor
  11. Good idea Gareth.....can anyone suggest a reputable garage near where Marco lives (wherever that is?)
  12. Sat here in the dark and miserable weather thinking about where to go on holiday this year. So who is going where this year?....go on, make us jealous
  13. How about these lights.....love or hate ?
  14. not sure where to get it from but it looks awesome!
  15. we always used to call it 'break what you brought' at Santa Pod as this was what usually occurred, lol
  16. Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum I'm not entirely sure as never experienced the washers on a SQ5 but I imagine that if there is a volume of water coming out, then the jet is damaged as it should be restricted to produce a high pressure spray with less flow of water. Possibly look to replace the jet to sort it? Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Dan...welcome to the Forum Can't see anything listed for 3.0 but here is a link to some badges http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A5-S5-RS5/Badges--Emblems/64901 Cheers Trevor
  18. Try this link http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A6-S6-RS6/Rear-Light-Assemblies/44262
  19. Hi James....welcome to the Forum Not entirely sure what you have to wire up to get everything integrated but here is a link to some options, OE and retrofit lights and mirrors Headlights http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A6-S6-RS6/Headlight-Assemblies/44240 Not much in replacement mirrors though http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A6-S6-RS6/Wing-Mirrors--Accessories/36682 Cheers Trevor
  20. Hi Stephen...welcome to the Forum It sounds like it is internally faulty especially if the unit has melted, advise getting a secondhand unit. Cheers Trevor
  21. Hi Nick....welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear the engine has failed....what exactly has happened to it? Cheers Trevor
  22. I think they call it 'expensive school fees' .... sometimes it's the only way, to bite the bullet and pay out to get it sorted and to learn from it (if there is anything to be learnt). At least also, you can drive it in the knowledge that it's all up together for a few years to come.
  23. I always use an Infra-Red Temperature Gun http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Handheld-Non-Contact-IR-Laser-Infrared-Digital-Temperature-Gun-Thermometer-/172527792934?hash=item282b753326:g:uvYAAOSw4CFYn~2I Measure all around the engine for temperature hotspots, etc. Also useful to measure misfires, brake efficiency/balance, and a whole host of other useful stuff
  24. Hi Iain...welcome to the Forum Great choice of cars to pick from....personally, I would struggle to decide which one to go with. The S-Tronic DSG is a superb box for performance and the reliability issues have pretty much been sorted over the years. Keep us informed of how your decision goes Cheers Trevor
  25. Hi Samuel...welcome to the Forum I have heard that this is quite common across the later Audi range especially with the Bose system....which is surprising really. One way would be to remove door cards and panels and fit sound deadening pads to them and refit which would dampen the rattling, etc Cheers Trevor
