  1. Hi Huw....welcome to the Forum My first thoughts are battery condition...if the battery is on its way out then this can cause similar issues. Easy to check with a deep discharge test to confirm. Otherwise, its worth checking the electrical connectors under the steering column and try the 'wiggle test' with the ignition on to see if the lights display then.   2. Hi Sally...welcome to the Forum I know exactly what you mean. I drove a Honda Civic (new shape) the other week and I couldn't park it square for love nor money. Something to do with the shape of the car, distinguishable features to focus on such as corners of the wings, etc...I don't really know but I had a hell of a job with this particular car.   6. Worth checking they are clean and then listen to each one carefully to hear a faint clicking noise which means they are working okay.

Hard to say whether it's genuine RS calipers but I'm not sure, as the rear looks like it is a single piston floating type and the fronts at most (judging by their size) are a twin piston floating caliper. On the RS I would imagine they use larger multi-piston calipers all round. Still, they look awesome and in great condition

Hi Kim...welcome to the Forum I totally agree with Gareth and find it hard to believe that a trimmer could not replace the glass if you can in fact find a replacement glass through Autoglass or similar. Otherwise a secondhand roof would be the way forward....and as for £2k to fit it....really! they are not at all realistic prices. I suggest, find a reputable garage/trimmer to carry out the work at a mere fraction of the cost you have been quoted. Let us know how you progress with this one Cheers Trevor
  13. Hi Alison....welcome to the Forum To be on the safe side...I would take the car back to the dealers and query it with them. There have been a few instances (listed on this forum) of Audi's catching fire so I would definitely raise it with the dealer to be cautious and at least get it logged with them just in case of something happening.   15. From memory, I believe that you have to remove the glovebox to reveal the filter housing.
  16. There are a few cleaning solutions available for cleaning turbo vanes, but generally, I have known a vast number of people replacing perfectly serviceable turbos because of gummed up vanes whereas a good clean up (by whatever way possible) is all that is required.
  17. Hi...welcome to the Forum Decisions, decisions! That's the problem really, so many options to choose from. I think the first thing to consider is what are the main uses you have for the vehicle, what journeys will you be doing (motorway, town commuting, etc)....as this will influence your decision for size of engine, power output, etc. I don't think the automatic transmissions are that bad, and manual transmission can have inherent problems like Dual Mass Flywheels, etc. S Line is always a good option to have.   20. Hi Jimmy...welcome to the Forum Problem 1. Sounds like the fault is in the jet or the hose leading to it. Pointless blowing it through because that will not cure it. Best bet is to use fusewire to check the jet is clear / unblock it. From there, before reconnecting the hose to the reservoir I would blow through with compressed air (but not too high pressure) and see what comes out the jet. Reconnect the hose to the reservoir and see if that works. Reservoir should be accessible by removing the inner wheel arch liner. Problem 2. Could it be something as simple as the wiring going into the boot lid broken or frayed where it goes through the rubber gaiter? or look for a common earth as this could be affecting the lighting if you're getting a voltage but the bulb is not illuminating. Problem 3. Sorry, not sure on this one....maybe someone knows the exact answer to this one??? Problem 4. Could be related to problem 2...possibly? Sorry, there is nothing specific as to the exact solution but maybe helpful to pointing in the right direction. Hi Krish....welcome to the Forum I think maybe the readout/sensor may be slightly out of calibration as 108 degrees C is rather high and I think the fans would be running constantly if this was the case. Maybe best to measure the engine and coolant hoses with a temperature gun to accurately determine if this is the case. Keep us update on this one. Cheers Trevor
  23. Hi Ken...welcome to the Forum As Juggati has mentioned, there aren't too many faults but the emissions one is really causing problems at the mo. Timing Chains/Belts can be an issue...just make sure the service history is up to date and has always had quality parts fitted. Otherwise, they're great cars Cheers Trevor
