  1. Hi Darren...welcome to the Forum You'll have to let us know how it goes with the remap and DPF/EGR .... always nice to know the outcome. Cheers Trevor
  2. That is a benefit with shaft drive I suppose...and heated grips I always leave my bikes outside all year with no cover, but they don't seem to degrade, quite a lot air circulating around them I guess.
  3. I thought we could start a thread here to list the things you do like...go on, let us know what makes you happy ! I'll start...and keep it clean, and non-offensive, and....well you know the drill McDonalds Breakfasts Real Ales Le Mans 24 Hours Cars Motorbikes
  4. I thought we could start a thread here to list the things you don't like...go on, get it off your chest ! I'll start...and keep it clean, and non-offensive, and....well you know the drill Middle-lane hoggers People not using their indicators Blue Cheese Cold Real Ales
  5. I believe the SatNav has to be enabled by the Dealer as an option, if it hasn't already been set-up for it.
  6. Here's a link to Tow Bars for the S4 http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-search-results/A4-S4-RS4/Vehicle_Parts_and_Accessories/131090/tow You will need a CanBus adapter to wire it into the lighting circuit
  7. I'm not entirely sure on the battery reboot procedure but it may say how to do it in the handbook. Maybe best to take it to the dealer/specialist VAG repairer to carry out if unsure.
  8. The thing with batteries is you get what you pay for.....the more expensive the battery, the heavier it is (lead content). Magnet, I would go for a quality 3-year warranty battery, Exide, Varta, Bosch or similar branded ones. What does anyone else think?...answers on a postcard please
  9. Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum Generally, the Q5 is a great car, I believe it has a few electrical gremlins but otherwise, the engine is strong enough but I would probably over-service it with quality oils and filters to ensure a long life and consistent performance. To be fair, your A4 did well to get to 200k with only a head gasket failure or was it cambelt failure? Cheers Trevor
  10. I haven't personally fitted one but it's like any heater matrix, you end up under the dashboard with your back over the sill and can't walk for two days afterwards, lol Sometimes, it's easier to pull the dashboard out and do it that way. Good luck
  11. Hi Lee...welcome to the Forum I agree with the other two...Gumtree is probably best place as in your local area and can at least try before you buy (as in fit one on and see if it fits and looks good, etc). Keep us updated on how you get on with finding some Cheers Trevor
  12. Lol...quarter life crisis !
  13. I know what 'Gazole' means in French....Diesel. Found this out after putting a tank-full of Diesel in my Mini back in the eighties because I thought 'Gazole' meant 'Gasoline' as the Americans call their Petrol. Pushed the car out of the fuel station, took the tank out, dumped the fuel in a road digger that was parked across the road, pushed the car back over and asked the woman serving to fill it up with Petrol....felt like a right divvy !
  14. Hi John..welcome to the Forum Welcome also to the 'Mid Life Club' as well....a very exclusive but heavily subscribed club Cheers Trevor
  15. Hi Alan...welcome to the Forum Usually, the DPF is only fitted to cars after late 2007 but in general, if the car is driven properly, on good roads with limited traffic jams and the engine is used properly (as in driven hard) then there is no problem with DPF. The problem occurs when the engine is not revved sufficiently for long periods for it to regenerate. So in other words, if you drive around town predominantly then a diesel with a DPF is not an ideal combination. Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi Peter....welcome to the Forum As Brad-B5 has mentioned about the wiring/connections, etc or alternatively you could replace the bulb with an LED...lasts a lot longer http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A5-S5-RS5/Bulbs--LEDs/174060 Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Tom...welcome to the Forum As Adie has stated, you could try to put it in yourself and see if it works okay but if not then I have a sneaky feeling that Audi have to programme the feature in . Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  18. I beleive the manufacturers have many tricks up their sleeves for manipulating the figures to suit them. Don't even get me started on Carbon Footprinting where the manufacturers all sell a range of electric/hybrid cars to lower the averages/statistics, solely to enable them to sell top end, environment unfriendly gas guzzlers (couldn't live without them though!).
