  1. it just sounds like there's no power going to the components within the door....
  2. Hi Mark....welcome to the Forum It sounds like a wiring fault (possibly going into the door through the trunking) as if they have no power and may have broken the wire or popped a fuse. Worth checking the wiring by pulling back the trunking and looking for broken wires Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
  3. Hi Jonlee...welcome to the Forum If it's a sill cover then it will more than likely be plastic. Could you send us a photo of it ? Cheers Trevor
  4. Fingers crossed it's a cheap one to resolve
  5. also, I would have thought it may have chucked out a lot of soot at the same time
  6. Hi Thomas...welcome to the Forum If you would like to take a photo with your phone and post it up as an image...that may work. Good results from the remap! Cheers Trevor
  7. Hi Philip...welcome to the Forum Once again, I find myself completely agreeing with Magnet, who's words are indeed pearls of wisdom....buy cheap, buy twice! One other consideration for upgrading brakes is to switch to braided steel hoses (Goodridge) which will enhance the pedal pressure (less swelling of the hoses, opposed to standard rubber ones) and producing a firmer pedal. Usually around £50 for a complete set. Keep us updated with your progress Cheers Trevor
  8. It may be settings relating to speed increase (the faster you go the louder it gets) but have a look at the following link to see if there's any useful information in there about it.
  9. Hi Richie....welcome to the Forum You could try these guys... http://www.essexturbos.com/ or http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A4-S4-RS4-_facelift__/Turbochargers--Parts/63707 Keep us updated with how you get on Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi Dan...welcome to the Forum I would probably disconnect one component/lead at a time and see when the noise disappears to narrow down the cause. It may be a case of then insulating/shielding the cable to stop the interference. Let us know what you find. Cheers Trevor
  11. It does sound like that may have been the case....I would keep an eye on it in the future and if it doesn't occur regularly then it may have been a regen taken place.
  12. A very odd fault indeed! Have you found out what the potential cause/fault is yet?
  13. Hi Steve There are a few bulbs, LEDs and DRL listed on this link http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A1/Bulbs--LEDs/174060 Keep us updated on how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  14. Thanks for submitting the video Dan
  15. It seems like it could be something to do with oil circulation in which case it would be worth having the chains checked and/or replaced whilst it is still under warranty and before it turns into something more serious. Keep us updated as to how you get on with it all Cheers Trevor
  16. Seems like all the components it could have been you have replaced then. I do wonder if it is the bulb....as in quality, maybe a fault with it?
  17. Hi Dan...welcome to the Forum I totally agree with everything Magnet has said especially the need to use quality parts...it pays in the long run! The heater fan only working on certain speeds is usually the resistor pack as suggested. Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi...and welcome to the Forum You could look at Tuning Boxes that do virtually the same job as a remap. http://www.audiownersclub.com/news/reviews/club-reviews/product-reviews/electronic-engine-tuning-guide/ Keep us updated on how you get on with remapping Cheers Trevor
  19. Probably because it has been minus 5 this year which is unusual so that was enough to activate it
  20. Hi Wayne...welcome to the Forum Welcome also to the wonderful world of Audi Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor
  21. Hi Ian...welcome to the Forum That's a strange fault....the only thing I can think of if it is a HID lamp is that the igniter/amplifier may be faulty. Keep us updated on what you find. Cheers Trevor
