    I know some of the VWs had two switches, one for the brake lights and one for engine management to throw a signal to the ECU when the brake is applied

    Hi Garrett...welcome to the Forum. There are specialists in the UK that can carry out this sort of update but not sure about the US, although there must be a VW / Audi specialist somewhere? I would just carry on with the TomTom as would always stay updated with a quick download on the PC whereas you would have to be reliant on buying the updates from Audi on a constant basis at huge cost.     Hi Mick...welcome to the Forum Engines should not use coolant if they do then you have a fault with the system, I would advise having a skilled mechanic pressure test the cooling system (including the pressure cap) to ascertain if there is a weak point somewhere.     As long as the oil level is correct .... you could drain and refill the engine with the correct quantity next time it needs an oil change (e.g. how much came out and measure the required quantity to go in the engine) then you'll now exactly that the oil level is correct.

    Hi...and welcome to the Forum It sounds odd that the car doesn't start after fitting the parts, would be tempted to put the old parts back on and make sure the system is bled properly. If the fuel pressure sender is not reading pressure then it won't start so ensure that fuel is present in the rail and then see if other components are responding accordingly. What does the scanner report (e.g. fault codes, live data, etc) Cheers Trevor

    Hi John...welcome to the Forum I would imagine that it would log a fault code in the ECU if there is some sort of misfire so may be worth getting it scanned for fault codes and go from there. let us know how you get on with this one. Cheers Trevor

    Have heard of this fault but I would also look at other possibilities and possibly scan the ECU to see if it has generated any fault codes for the blip

    It's never a wrong time...always get a sunny day in the winter when I take my convertibles out .... got to have the heater on and a wooly hat though!

    Hi David It's in beautiful condition, you should have no problem selling it. Not sure of what it is worth, and think maybe the best way is to list it on eBay and see what offers come in but you can always remove it before the end if it doesn't reach the price you want.     I suppose it would be the same for most areas of the A4 but not specific to v6 or quattro variations.     Hi Phil....welcome to the Forum It sounds like it could be a diverter valve on the passenger side not switching over to cold. Maybe try switching it over and back several times to see if the valve starts to move, if not then not sure if there is any way to check it without physically inspecting it. You may be able to control it through a diagnostic platform if it is within the programme settings. Let us know what you find with it Cheers Trevor

    Hi...and welcome to the Forum supreme diesel is always better to run through the engine but obviously costs a lot more. The claims are that you receive better mpg so that may offset the cost. let us know what you decide and if you think it makes a difference. Cheers Trevor
