  1. Could do with feedback on this if you have the time as it would be interesting to other members with the same problem.
  2. Hi David It could be a split/hole in the turbo intercooler hose if its making a chirping noise which could also give the same symptoms as the turbo would be boosting around that rpm. Worth taking off the hose to inspect it for damage. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  3. Hi Ian...welcome to the Forum Welcome also to the wonderful world of Audi. Keep us informed of how you're getting on with it over time. Cheers Trevor
  4. Hi Euan...welcome to the Forum Usual things to look out for...regular maintenance and replacement of routine maintenance components and especially fluids being a Quattro. Let us know how you get on with it and hopefully you won't have any problems Cheers Trevor
  5. Hi Sam...welcome to the Forum Quite a collection of cars, past and present....the Renault is one of those cars as you say you will always regret selling especially as they are rapidly increasing in value, I've had a few cars like that as well. I'd probably keep quiet about the Kia though, lol Good to have you on-board ! Cheers Trevor
  6. Hi Matt...welcome to the Forum Always a lovely feeling when a new car rolls up Look forward to seeing what mods you do on it Cheers Trevor
  7. Maybe best to go with one of their recommendations just to be on the safe side
  8. Hi Robert...welcome to the Forum The dedicated section within this forum for your Audi is here: http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/forum/73-audi-a4-b8-forum/ Hopefully, your Audi will be as reliable as your Honda, but I don't think anything comes near to Honda for that accolade. I went out and bought a Honda CR-V when I was looking for the most reliable car and Honda always come out on top, although I think Toyota is now nipping at their heels. Enjoy your Audi and keep us posted with any updates. Cheers Trevor
  9. Hi Jonathan...welcome to the Forum Post up some piccies of her before and after....would be great to see. Good to have you onboard! Cheers Trevor
  10. Hi Atahan...welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard and look forward to reading your posts. Cheers Trevor
  11. Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum Not sure about tuners in your area...can anyone advise ? Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers Trevor
  12. Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum I'm not sure how easy the mod will be to carry out and what parts you will need. Hopefully, some members may be able to shine some light on the matter (no pun intended)...anyone ? Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  13. not sure whether TerraClean actually gets into the turbo nozzles...
  14. Think you may need them with this weather lately
  15. It could be the variable vanes in the turbo gummed up...you can get a special cleaner to run through it which should sort the problem. Below is a photo of the vane assembly which gums up and throws up the warning lamp and goes into limp home. Worse case scenario you can replace the ring assembly. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Diesel-Turbo-Cleaner-Kit-POWERFUL-TURBO-CLEANING-KIT-Dissolves-Carbon-Limp-Mode-/281771781310?hash=item419ae82cbe:g:71UAAOSwHnFVzFxJ
  16. Hi Gavin...welcome to the Forum If done correctly as you have already identified, then a remap should run the engine to optimum performance and economy without damaging components in the process. Let us know if you go this route, but bear in mind it could invalidate your warranty. Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forum Great looking car! Got any mods planned for it or just keep it standard? Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum I believe the bushes can be replaced but only with special tooling which the dealers or specialist should have. I would track down a VAG specialist near to you that has the tooling. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  19. Hi Matthew....welcome to the Forum. I believe there are several faults with the 2.7 engine but mostly the complaint that crops up most often is the under achieving MPG figures compared to manufacturer claims. Maybe the 2.0 would be better for local trips but it all depends on how and where you drive it. Let us know what you decide. Cheers Trevor
  20. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forum The car looks great! Look forward to reading your posts in the future. Cheers Trevor
  21. That blows that theory then ! I'm not sure if any other members can offer assistance, if not then I would advise taking it to an Audi specialist who should be able to re-sync it to the car
  22. Hi Chris...welcome to the Forum Can I ask what the symptoms are and are there any warning lamps and fault codes? Cheers Trevor
  23. That's a great recommendation, thanks for that and for uploading photos as well. It's nice to know these mods really work.
  24. Ouch! thats rather a lot for a service....I would get a quote for fixed price servicing from some other dealers just to be sure thats not their own price
  25. I think the DSG principle is awesome, but sometimes the execution isn't so hot. Reliability issues for manufacturers are a problem but more recently they are resolving the faults with modification kits. I think I'll stick to a manual change on a bike....old habits die hard as they say.
