  3. Hi Sean....welcome to the Forum Hope you manage to source a nice RS4 with the budget, I'm sure there must be something half decent out there but be prepared to travel a distance if necessary. Let us know if you acquire one Cheers, Trevor
  4. Hi Ian...welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Audi before....hopefully the new one will enthuse you with the brand and give trouble-free motoring in the future
  5. Hi John....welcome to the Forum That is indeed what it sounds like, but at least I suppose if there is no damage and speeding tickets coming through then it is just one of those things to put down to experience and don't use the garage in the future. What would have been useful is if you had a mobile phone in the car as it would have tracked the journey on Google Maps which could have been interesting to say the least. Good to have you onboard
  6. Hi Steven.....welcome to the Forum Has anyone who has replaced the previous batteries said what was wrong with them (e.g. buckled/distorted plates, low on electrolyte, anything suggesting overcharging such as barrelled casing?). It could be that they have been using a faulty batch of batteries because unless a battery has been overcharged then generally they can usually recover from discharge and even sulphation with a decent battery conditioner being used to trickle a charge overnight.
  7. Hi Andy....welcome to the Forum Is this the current weather in Leeds? Bright sunshine in Bournemouth 😞 Good to have you onboard

  9. Hi John....welcome to the Club Plenty of information on the site, especially in the A6 section with quite a few recurring issues being talked about. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  10. can honestly say I have not seen carbon build up within the engine like that for a very long time!
  11. It seems slightly high....you could always reset it and drive it sensibly to see what it averages out with your driving style
  12. Hi Dan....welcome to the Forum Plenty of hint and tips available within the forums. Good to have you onboard
  13. Hi Guy....welcome to the Forum The BKD engine is a 16 valve and the power output for this range of engines is listed in the Wiki link below: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Volkswagen_Group_diesel_engines I would advise that you ensure the maintenance tasks are carried in a timely manner and using quality parts as there have been failures within certain engine components since inception and although they are easily rectifiable and relatively cheap to resolve it is just more of an inconvenience than anything. Good to have you onboard
  14. Hi Seb....welcome to the Forums A fine collection of Audi's over the years and unfortunate news about the S4 Avant but at least you were okay and the car took the impact force (which is always good to know it can absorb large amounts of accident impact energy) Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  15. Hi Nicky....welcome to the Forums That is incredibly low mileage for the age, what a find! Good to have you onboard
  16. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forums Good to have you onboard
  17. You could try these guys, would be a lot cheaper
  18. Hi Ross I'm not sure if the data within the SRS control unit has been downloaded by/for Audi as I recall reading an article a few years ago about the data being captured post accident by the manufacturer as the control units were on an exchange programme (obviously being replaced in the event of an accident deploying the airbags) and therefore they kept the old unit and provided a new programmed one. If this is the case then they (the manufacturer - Audi) would have this data and I doubt they would be sharing it unfortunately.
