  1. Hi Daniel....welcome to the Forum Unfortunately, it is the damage behind the bumper that you cannot see without removing loads of components that may write it off as this could be substantial and may not be cost-effective to repair. Let us know the outcome Cheers, Trevor

  10. Hi Neil....welcome to the Forum There are a few things to look out for but the information is scattered across the forums so the best bet would be to search individual systems (e.g. engine, transmission) specific to the vehicle in question and see what threads come up Hope you don't find anything too sinister with your new acquisition Cheers, Trevor
  11. Hi Aaron If the clutch has started to slip then chances are you would need a dual-mass flywheel as well....you could check the freeplay when the clutch is removed but if it is showing signs of excessive movement (wear) then it would be prudent to replace it at the same time
  12. Hi Helen any idea of how much you would want for it?
  13. Hi Damian....welcome to the Forums Maybe worth trying the turbo cleaner again as carbon can be a sod to clear out....follow it up with an Italian tune-up and it will probably clear out Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor

  20. Hi Ray WHat is the particular problem you have with your A4?
  21. Oh blimey! That could have been catastrophic if the wheel had parted company with the car. I would probably replace the wheel nuts/bolts to be on the safe side or at least take one from the other wheels and replace it the suspect ones....which should be okay in the long term. I would also check any other wheel nuts/bolts for correct torque and if they are drastically overtightened then I would replace them all. Let us know how you get on with it all p.s. I have changed the post title to describe the content
