Hi Gavin...welcome to the Forum Make sure you post up some piccys of it once it arrives. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  3. used a DTUK on my Honda CR-V until just recently....absolutely loved it, not for power increase but improved economy and driveability.
  4. Sorry to have missed the event guys but it seems like you had a good time, regardless of the weather (seems the same as it was when I was there the previous weekend).
  5. Good on you Paul....I admire your willpower, I couldn't give up that easily I'm afraid 😞
  6. next: italy
  7. lol...you forgot to show the six pack of beer and the bottle of wine consumed after the hike....I know I would need it
  8. I got flashed by a weird speed camera in a small town in Germany. I say weird....it was a rather bland looking pillar, similar to a bollard which unbeknown to me was full of lasers and cameras which emitted a red beam in any direction (360 degrees). Was only just over the 20kph limit and never got a ticket through
  9. Hi Claire...welcome to the Forum. I am mystified by this one! Firstly, the SRS function should not be armed when stationary as the vehicle needs to be travelling in excess of around 10mph and in a forward direction (in the case of the drivers and passenger airbags and seatbelt pretensioners activating). If this is the case that you were stationary, which I assume you were as your daughter was alighting from the car (difficult to do when the car is moving) then I would assume there is either a fault in the programming algorythm or there is an electrical fault. It would be an easy one to prove as if there is no accident damage then it has to be one or the other of the above mentioned faults...and one that needs to be referred through the Audi dealership as a matter of urgency in case there is a potential recall issue. There was an issue with Audi's fitted with Takata airbags (the company has since gone out of business and left a worldwide trail of airbags that need replacing) but not sure if yours is one that is affected...again, check with Audi directly. Let us know how you get on with it all Trevor

  11. Chris Dagwell . Hi, do you still have the plate for sale?
  12. You are more than welcome to start a regional event if you like and we can help you to boost the interest
  13. Interesting demographic so far....looks like the mid-30's - company cars possibly and when you get close to retiring then you splash out on a new Audi?
  14. Fair play to her, don't think I can even get up the stairs without being completely knackered 🙂 Good luck with the preparations for the big event....post it up on the social platforms nearer the time if you like.
  15. Same here Paul
  16. Great article....well done Steve! and thanks for the mention along with all the other guys who help to make this club a great one!
  17. Bit of advice....watch out for the hidden extras...insurance waivers, taking huge amounts for deposit from your credit card, etc. Other stories I know of are when they take a huge deposit and (mysteriously!) your car gets damaged in a bodged break in then they take the deposit and if you have the waiver insurance then you can claim it back retrospectively but they have the deposit money and they are happy with that outcome. Usually turns out to be someone tipped off by the car hire company that is behind it and especially if they are aware of where it is parked (villa, hotel, etc). Sometimes, it pays to organise the car from the UK and not out in Spain and take out the insurance waiver with it. Sorry to be pessimistic but I know of quite a few cases of this occurring.
  18. oh dear....it's certainly tough at the top!
  19. I like Edd, and that is rich coming from me as I don't tend to like many TV 'Mechanics' or presenters who pretend to know about cars....but with Edd I can watch him working on cars and see he knows what he's doing and he generally comes over as a really nice guy.
