  2. Not sure it should be tapping....injectors 'clicking' possibly? Worth checking for a slight exhaust leak or inlet manifold leak as this can sometimes manifest as a 'diesel' sound.
  3. I would say have a fiddle around with the wires to see if there is a loose connection but as it is around 25000 volts when the ballast fires up so be very careful.
  4. Hi Tom I agree with Darren...take it for a third opinion. As far as I know, there is a dual mass flywheel there but the clutches are inside the box. Trying to diagnose the dual mass is difficult but usually if there is clunking on start up and shutting down of the engine then this is a good indicator. Also sometimes there is a slight delay when accelerating which can be associated with the flywheel being weak.. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  5. Hi Matthew....welcome to the Forum That certainly looks the business ! Cheers for putting up some piccies of your new pride and joy...you really know how to make a fella jealous Trevor
  6. You're allowed to pick five cars which you would love to own in your (virtual) garage....what would be your choices? 1. Audi R8 2. McLaren SLR 3. Rover BRM 4. Jenson Interceptor 5. Jaguar XJ220
  7. Hi Gary...welcome to the Forum I wonder if it is a trait of the Quattro AWD system more than the clutch itself. Worth getting the oil levels (and specification) checked/replaced in the transmission as a first port of call Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  8. Hi Philip....welcome to the Forum Here is a link to an oil selector from Castrol http://www.castrol.com/ Remaps always improve things, especially driveability and economy. Here is a link to a review I did on a Tuning Box and it mentions Insurance policies. http://www.audiownersclub.com/news/reviews/club-reviews/product-reviews/electronic-engine-tuning-guide/ Keep us updated on how you get on with it all Cheers Trevor

  13. Hi Philip...welcome to the Forum 1. Put some masking tape on the side of the body of the wiper arm where it fits over the spindle and tap with a light hammer to break the taper...that should work....maybe also use the puller at the same time to aid it. 2. Is the washer pump running up front? If so, is it pouring out elsewhere? Keep us updated Cheers Trevor
  14. I used to own an MG Rover garage a few years ago and love my Rovers (but don't tell too many people!) My favourite one was a 200 'BRM' and is still in the list in my 'ten car garage' . Also used to own a 200 'Tomcat' Turbo which I modded....went like **** off a shovel. The ZR sounds like a great fun car
  15. Hi Troy...welcome to the Forum Here is a link to Audi parts...exhaust section http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-categories/A6-S6-RS6 Cheers Trevor
  16. Hi all... I have moved this post to the Recalls section of the Forum as it now seems to affect other models in the range, not just the A5. A copy of the thread will be left in the A5 section for 1 month
  17. Hi Jamie I'm surprised the spare was flat....has the car been serviced lately, as this should have been checked? If it's been deflated for some time then it may need to warm up to regain it's shape, if it won't inflate, then it sounds like a new tyre needed. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Jonj...welcome to the Forum My first thoughts are that the vehicle is trying to go through a regeneration of the DPF but will only occur when the fuel level is near full tank (is the case with other makes)....worth filling right up and taking for a long run in lower gear and higher revs, at a constant 70 mph...this should initiate the regen process if it is trying to carry out one. The washer fluid must be purely coincidental, I would imagine, but worth topping up anyway. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  19. looking good Stu
  20. good luck Sean...fingers crossed it won't be too expensive for you
  21. Hi Alan....welcome to the Forum Sorry, don't know the exact routing of the washer hose but I wonder if you could disconnect it from the pump and introduce compressed air into the line to see/hear where the hole is. Let us know how you get on with it all Cheers Trevor
  22. Looks very similar to ones i have fitted to other Audis before but couldn't guarantee part numbers Here is a link to a variety of fans http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/Q7/Blowers--Fans/33546
  23. I would probably try phoning again and ask to speak to someone else possibly, as they may give you some info....or ask them specifically if it has had the emissions update or go through the list. Put your details in this link to find out what recalls were for your car http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp
  24. Thanks for the feedback...its always handy to know the solution
  25. Here's some links to Nextbase DashCams that I recently reviewed http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-412gw-dash-cam-review/ http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-112-dash-cam-review/ http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-dash-cam-hardwire-kit/
