  1. Hi Adam...welcome to the Forum ....and indeed the wonderful world of Audi Cheers Trevor
  2. Hi Rich..welcome to the Forum I absolutely agree with Gareth, and it doesn't sound right...not with modern day vehicles, any sort of lag would have been designed out of the drivetrain programming and should therefore allow the car to drive faultlessly. I would follow Gareths' suggestion of trying another one to compare them. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  3. yep...definitely one for when it's warmer !
  4. Hi Aaron....welcome to the Forum If it's as in the picture and on the passenger side, then it's the left-hand side (nearside) Lucky it didn't do any damage behind the grill Cheers Trevor
  5. totally agree with Magnet and I'm sure it's just laziness on my part, as I tend to do that quite a bit....(slapped wrist!)
  6. I believe the two are linked...usually the washer jet leaks because the hose drops off the jet and then fills the boot lock mechanism. A simple strip down and rebuilds is all that's required....along with a lot of WD40
  7. As Brad-B5 has stated...it shouldn't be either too expensive or too difficult to replace but the cost of it not working and running low on oil will be a vast amount more expensive.
  8. Hi Graham...welcome to the Forum There are several manufacturers of Xenon bulbs claiming that they are **% brighter than standard bulbs but here is a link to compare them http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A6-S6-RS6/Bulbs--LEDs/174060 Cheers Trevor
  9. Fuel filter replacement is usually around 35-40k miles although I would do a change at the lower figure if you love your car/engine. Quality of fuel filter is imperative when choosing a replacement and it is probably the only time where I would go for a genuine OE part as there are so many inferior after-market filters out there that can cause tremendous problems with engine running on the modern HDi fuel systems.
  10. Here's another treatment worth trying and can be applied quite easily so any independent garage should be able to run it through the turbo http://www.reviveturbocleaner.com/
  11. Hi Tej...welcome to the Forum Yes, in theory, the car should creep forwards. If it is not, I wonder if the brakes are binding slightly...worth jacking each wheel in turn so it's just of the ground and slowly rotate each wheel ensuring there are no points where it binds. Make sure the transmission is in Neutral when you do this and obviously the handbrake off when checking the rears. Additionally, it is worth checking the Auto Trans fluid to see that it's to the correct level. Cheers Trevor
  12. I would imagine you are correct in your diagnosis. Have seen it several times where the vanes are gummed up and then goes into Limp Home mode because of it. There are a few cheap ways around it 1. Terraclean treatment which will totally sort it 2. Run a turbo cleaner solution through it (see link) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Diesel-Engine-Turbo-Cleaner-Cures-Limp-Home-Mode-Variable-Vane-Turbos-/152003334878?hash=item23641ad2de:g:lQ4AAOSwZ8ZW2O4l http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Wynns-Diesel-Turbo-Turbocharger-Vane-Turbine-Wheel-EGR-Cleaner-Power-Restorer-/401118227157?hash=item5d64826ad5:g:pUcAAOSwYmZXMIJT 3. Replace the cartridge part of the turbo assembly (see link) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xaudi+turbo+cartridge.TRS0&_nkw=audi+turbo+cartridge&_sacat=0

  17. Hi Luke...welcome to the Forum Here is a link to an article I wrote for the Nextbase Hard Wire Kit http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-dash-cam-hardwire-kit/ and also a review of the 412GW which gives some info which may be applicable to the 312GW http://www.drivn.co.uk/nextbase-412gw-dash-cam-review/ The fuse you use is the one that is the same size as you remove, just make sure it is for an ignition fed component (such as heated seat, etc) Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Whitman...welcome to the Forum You can find aftermarket unit to convert or the original equipment which will cost a lot Here's a link to some lighting components http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A4-S4-RS4-_facelift__/Headlight-Assemblies/44240 Cheers Trevor

  24. Hi Mie...welcome to the Forum Seems crazy but a revised parcel shelf is available because the original was obviously flawed. Me personally, I would just replace the screw with a suitable replacement Cheers Trevor
