Wow....the A4 is extremely well travelled then and seen it's fair share of excitement and incidents as well by the sound of it. I take it you like driving then? Why not post up some notable roads in the Road Trip section of this Forum, always looking to find and share great new driving routes and destinations http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/forum/87-road-trips/

Hi Victoria...welcome to the Forum As Gareth has stated, the car should be under warranty and I would highly recommend taking it back to the dealership for them to investigate the issue. Keep us informed of how you get on with this. Cheers Trevor

Hi Thomas....welcome to the Forum Shame about the RCZ, great looking car. Some Audi engines have issues with timing chains failing but best look through the Forum posts for more information. Keep us updated with your decision about purchasing an Audi Cheers Trevor

Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum Lovin' the look of the A5....I personally think when they came out that a huge number of BMW owners migrated to Audi on the back of the A5, such a gorgeous looking shape Good to have you onboard Cheers Trevor

Duxback (Air craft water resistance)
Trevor replied to Brad-B5's topic in Audi Club Lounge / General Chat
I also used RainEx years ago and had great results with it...not sure if it's still available? Would like to give the Duxback a try though -

Custom audio set up? Post Pictures here!
Trevor replied to Brad-B5's topic in Audi Audio / DashCams / Electronics / Security
This caught my eye this morning when mooching through the Jaguar Owners Club. Sure does look like a lot of equipment there...hope he's got a good battery The photo below is the heart of the beast I have marked in red where the speaker output from the premium amp comes into the LC8i (bottom red oval) and where the phono signal from the rear of the LC8i comes into the JL Audio amp (top). The speaker wires from the JL Audio amp are obviously at top right. 1 person likes this Like this Quote Edit Options 2003 S Type V8 SERetrofits:- Voice, premium amp, ACM, bluetooth, rear bumper with OEM sensors, auto wipers, STR rear lights, rear blind, OEM spoiler, gearbox refurbUpgrades:- Autofold mirrors, Audiocontrol LC8i, JL Audio XD7005v2 amp, JL Audio C3-650 front, JBL coax rear, JL Audio 6W3v3-4 (x2) subs, Alpine Ezi-DAB, LED interior, mesh grill (upper & lower), Adamesh exhaust -
Hi Daren...welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard! Cheers Trevor

It sure is

That's what the forum is all about Brad, we're all learning...and in my case remembering! It gets more difficult with age to remember things but as I sometimes say...it's not that I have forgotten, its because I have a larger database to search.

Hi Melissa As Magnet and Brad have both stated, problems with the compressor along with a slight leak from one or both of the front air bags could cause this
-
That's bad news, probably best try another box and see how you get on then...please let us know the outcome....I'm sure someone else will have the same problem at some point.

Hi Peter....welcome to the Forum As Brad-B5 has mentioned it would be an issue to change mileage without logging it, for example; if you change the mileage and try to sell it with a lower mileage then it is illegal. If you buy a secondhand unit and clock it up to the correct mileage that is fine but usually some form of note within the service history would suffice to explain why the mileage has changed and MOT mileage records, etc. However, looking at the age of your car either the mileage would change automatically from the key (as is the case with BMW) or the other scenario is that you would struggle to replace the instrument panel / speedo head without it causing major programming issues as this is part of the CanBus Gateway and is integral to the whole electronic system. Your best bet is to get it repaired if it is faulty....here is a link to a company that may be able to rebuild yours http://www.clusterrepairsuk.co.uk/ Keep us in the loop as to how you get on with this Cheers Trevor

Thanks for the information Aaron, useful advice and amazing mileage on your A4. Being nosey, whereabouts are you in France ?

Hi Jody...welcome to the Forum I think its a case of if the car is well maintained and has been looked after with FSH using quality parts then its not so much of an issue with high mileage except for when it comes to retailing it and losing money. Keep us updated Cheers Trevor

Hi...welcome to the Forum Usually when a modern HDi engine is subjected to petrol being run through the fuel system it can contaminate the seals, pipes, etc. The fact that it's running is a good thing but maybe it's worth persevering with it and keep running it with premium diesel at lower engine speeds for a while to see if it improves. Keep us updated on this one Cheers Trevor

Crikey! you are showing your age Magnet....just had to look up the system on google. Mind you, in by-gone days, cars used to stall all the time, especially if the choke was put in too early or points and carb were out of adjustment...oh how I miss those days (not)

I think that is the philosophy I use with my daily hack (Honda CRV cdti) as the turbo whines but it's perfectly fine, no wear/play on bearings, produces the boost but emits a police siren whine but now so used to it that if the Police were trying to pull me over I'd just ignore them thinking it was my turbo

Hi Nick...welcome to the Forum The Q7 is an awesome machine...can't make the comparison to the Range Rover personally as never owned either but I would imagine they are quite close in comparison. What do find are the differences (pro's & con's) of each? Cheers Trevor
